I haven't used this kit for quite some time now and I'm saving for something smaller that might encourage me to take more photos, so it's up for sells. No boxes but it's all in superb condition, see photos and descriptions below. Can meet in London or post at cost. PM me for dibs and all that.
Canon EOS 400D (branded as the 'Rebel XTi') Digital SLR
I've had a lot of fun with this DSLR and it's still more than capable, despite all the new models Canon has been pumping out. And what's more it's really cheap and a great introduction to DSLR photography! Easy to google the specs if you're interested.
I'm selling the whole kit with some extras although there's no box - this includes the 18-55mm kit lens, a protective filter for the lens, 4GB and 1GB memory cards, charger and spare battery, original and alternative (comfy) neck strap, remote control and a nice carry case (no photos of it but it's a decent Caselogic one that looks like the pic below).
And all for a measly £200!
Sigma 17-70mm lens f/2.8-4 lens for Canon EOS system
Absolutely superb accompaniment to the 400D, it's a great lens that performs well at both ends, lovely bokeh, just a great all-rounder really and it's such fun to use. Brilliant macro capabilities too. These seem to cost around £250 new and I'm selling this one for £150. Check out the specs at amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sigma-17-70mm-2-8-4-Macro-Canon/dp/B000EGAMBW
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lensSOLDDiscount available for anyone who wants both!

Soo...am thinking about selling my Canon 400D and replacing it with a Canon G12 or similar. I don't use the SLR much at all these days and was thinking that having something smaller and more mobile would be convenient and might make me take more photos, but is the loss of image quality and all the other SLR-specific stuff etc worth it?

I have barely used this since I bought it so it's up for sells. It's an excellent quality external soundcard, check out the specs here http://www.echoaudio.com/Products/FireWire/AudioFire4/index.php and a rather flattering review here http://www.djtechtools.com/2009/09/17/echo-audiofire4-reviewed/
In mint condition with all accessories, CDs etc but no box.
It sellls for around £239, yours for £150.
Cheers!

So...
13" Macbook Air, or the 13" Macbook Pro? Was originally really tempted by the Air but I'm moving to Senegal and may not be working in European-standard conditions (i.e. no wifi, may need a CD drive etc) and whilst this can be covered with peripherals for the Air, seems to make sense to have all that stuff in one place. But the screen on the Air is much higher resolution...
I'm not a 'power-user' but will be using Aperture, bit of Photoshop etc
Would appreciate any experiences or thoughts!
What condition are the Aviators in? Are the nosepads full of green gunk and dead skin, for example?
