I'm after a new vintage steed for t'eroica, l'eroica, ronde etc. Thinking i might want a keeper this time, so preferably something in good condition, but would re-spray something special like an old hetchins.
56x56 ideally, must be steel, italian or english i don't mind. love fancy lugs, but would get over it for a nice colnago. up to mid 80s date wise.
just thought i'd ask, in case one of you wants to shift something. cheers all.

looking back at my photo of the 2009 riders list, only 17% (393) were foreigners and there were only meant to be 800 foreigners last year, of which there must have been a degree of over 60s.
Though its clearly more globally popular and commercial now, i think we stand a pretty good chance of getting in, and the under 60 Italians probably feel hardest done by.
Roll on the lottery. -

I'll certainly be there again, thinking about stepping down from the 205 this year, to maximise drinking and photo time round the course, but it's Bianchi's first year of sponsorship, don't want to miss out on free goodies! cant wait.

I've got one of these - http://www.groundeffect.co.nz/product-detail-TAR-BAG.htm
which is great, just requires a bit of dis-assembly/re-assembly. I found larger wheelie bag too unwieldy.
Saw last year a bike bag at L'eroica with internal dropout spacers, you simply took the wheels off, dropped it in, wheels went in pockets either side. really want one, but cant remember the manufacturer. if anyone does, let me know.

Maybe a long shot, but are there any London types who are up for a 200k audax in Kent this sunday? Logistics mean you will need to travel down on Saturday; accommodation is already sorted, as is getting there on Sunday. Someone's pulled out and I have a spare place, and the need for another groupsaver for the train there. I can explain more by pm.
Preferably someone I know. Or know by association. Anyone? Route is fairly flat, and the weather looks good.
weather and time of year should make this great fun, not available, but love to know the route, so i can do when i've a spare day. best of luck.

Froze my ears this morn. Anyone a grey, or black/paul smith Rapha knitted hat for sale? (fitted pretty well in condor, but hoping someone picked up a spare at sample sale)
Also, for sale, Profile Airwing OS handlebars, 40width c-c. Very light clamp mark to the graphics, no scratches, some handlebar glue i havn't removed and in excellent conditon. used for c. 3 weeks, but changed to bullhorns with no drop. £20 picked up from Grays inn rd nr condor office hours, or swop for hat.
cheers all.

Anyone with an excellent memory able to help - two things i saw at l'eroica, that i really want, but didn't get at the time -
One was a nice Gs Gazzola jersey, think these are modern copies? anyone know the company selling them, pictured here:
https://picasaweb.google.com/103516038499036836792/LEroicaRetroBikeWeekend2011#5660517150922600642Second, opposite that stand, was a chap selling bike bags. Saw nice soft padded bag, where you took wheels off and the frame dropped onto built in dropout spacers, wheels in pockets either side, plus no need to take off handlebars either. Anyone heard of these?
cheers all, roll on 2012.
So tempting, love beer.
camden town brewery would be a good site to host this too.
