I love it, they've been trying to sell cars to that dickhead cohort forever and I reckon they've just thrown their hat at it so might as well wind them up for the massive publicity they're getting and then pitch the new cars to a more liberal target market!
My favourite was some idiot on IG comments telling the world how he was thinking about buying an XK and would no longer be doing so after this atrocity...
Yeah mate, Jaguar are going to be really upset about you not buying a secondhand car that was discontinued a decade ago :)
-
This is my point... Jaguar have been shit for decades
(F-Type aside as I do think they're quite nice)... I'm sure the XK120, E-Type and XJ220 were all seen as being wildly "out there" when they arrived and this isn't the first time they've made a significant change to their logo and font.I'd argue the font for the last two logos looked shit also...
I just think the whole thing is hilarious because it's obviously awoken a torrent of abuse from inbred incels like Andrew Tate and his fans... people who couldn't really give a shit about Jaguar until they've had this opportunity to use it as a tool to bash liberalism and the they / thems.
The advert, aside from being a bit meh, is largely inoffensive, just a bit colourful and as stated we don't even see a car in it so it's really just a bit of a hype builder...
The little teaser we've seen of the new car actually looks cool, I'm excited to see it.

Some excellent sales on at the moment have lead me to refresh my winter running garb (training for Stockholm marathon next year so fairweather excuses won't cut it...) and buy a proper jacket. I had been running in a Trespass packable rain jacket and I seemed to come out as wet from inside it as without.
Adidas terrex xperior 2.5l light rain.rdy jacket was almost half off and under £100. Hopefully does the business as I've gotten utterly drowned the last few days out. Also picked up a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 GTX, some Mizuno gloves and some fleece lined leggings and base layer. Hopefully a toasty winter of runs ahead of me!

They reckon 4-6 months of one day a week.
I haven't started on thoughts of the rosette or any binding / purfling yet to be honest...
I'm trying to find a balance between classic / elegant / tasteful but also not just going with the standard run of the mill bits and pieces so I'm not going to rush those bits I reckon...

Hahaha, I'm oddly traditionalist about acoustics (and electrics to be honest but I do like the idea of some of the modern headless thingies...).
I had a cedar and mahogany Takamine that my mate pinched years ago, I do get visitation from time to time :)
I've always wanted a replacement for it and this seems like a good time to DIY it! Otherwise I'll just have to keep pining over Lowdens until I eventually muster up the moolah to buy one...I've already modelled up my headstock design and think I'm settled on it... for now anyway...
I drew up a 6-in-a-line one too while I was at it and I'm already having a great time...This may take a while though, Nahguavkire Jr. is arriving in early January and I suspect I'll soon know your pain regarding availability of time and funds...

Mrs. Nahguavkire has booked me a guitar building course as a birthday present! Won't be starting until next year but I'm extremely excited.
Premise of the course is to build a steel string acoustic with assistance from the instructor and use of their workshop.
I think we get a choice of body styles but I presume choice is confined to a few shapes offered by the instructor as opposed to building your own templates for a unique shape.
I've had a peep on their website though and they seem to do a dreadnought with slightly rounded shoulders so I'm thinking of having a go at that.I'm now neck deep in specs as I believe wood choice, hardware choice, inlay / finishes and even details such as bracing are up to my choice...
I'm thinking Cedar top with Mahogany neck, back and sides, 25 1/2" scale length, slotted headstock and no cutaway for starters...
Here's one from a recent attendee of the course...

Would love to see a Ténéré 450 or an affordable (watered down) WR450F Rally from Yamaha...
Factory WR450F Rally is available but c.€28,000 I believe?
Makes the CFMoto and Kove look incredibly good value even if you're not getting quite the same level of spec...It's quite a tricky decision really whether a secondhand WR450F (or whatever 450 enduro you fancy) converted to rally spec or a Kove 450 Rally would be the way to go for cheap thrills...
I've actually got a nice dremel but it's battery rather than corded so probably not ideal for lots of work... have looked at those StewMac router bases though.
Could you link the router base you went for?
