Thanks for letting me know now Felix, no worries.
Rob, you'd be more than welcome to come down (and it would be much appreciated), but obviously don't stress it.
Everyone else, please let me know whether you are definitely coming or not asap! A lot has gone into the tournament, especially by all the schools and kids, so we can't let everyone down now!

I hope not, I've been dreaming up the 'gettin aero slingshot' manoeuvre, loosely based on the slingshot from Talladega nights. It gives the player the opportune moment to shout 'aero engage', before being thrown into the perfect position for a sweet shuffle. Unfortunately there are also some other outdated rules holding this dream scenario back
all over this, need to start practising now before the uk champs

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of further info till now.
It is no longer necessary for you to be CRB checked! so everyone is welcome, thanks for your support.
We need to be there for 11am on the day, will be finished up around 6.30pm.
To get there:
Other than just making your own wayThere is a very easy route from aldgate:
http://goo.gl/maps/ZnDeOr you can get the tube from Leyton (bikes allowed on the underground at this point) to Fairlop, which is just round the corner from the sports centre.
Our main job is reffing. There will be plenty of time after the tournament to play on the beautiful courts.
They would also like a demonstration game at some point, but if you don't want to bring your polo bike then say so now.We all need to wear the same shirt, so wear an LII shirt if you have one, and if not let me know and I'll give you one.
List of people 100% in!

I think we need to consider banning 'gettin aero'. It's quite obviously a huge advantage on court to 'get aero' and it's making the game too easy, and encouraging a style of play which is centered around parking the bus, waiting for a rebound and 'gettin aero' on the break.
Not to mention that 'getin aero' is potentially quite dangerous, its all well saying "well this team is gettin aero and they look good on it so let them keep playing", when if a beginner tried to 'get aero' they may cause serious high speed havoc on court.
DT himself has reported neck strain from 'gettin too aero', and if seasoned ex-semi-pros like him can be damaged by this maneuver, then the dangerous consequences of this move filtering down to the lowliest of players need not be stated.
Also, we are just getting to a stage in the game when passers by can walk past a game of of bike polo and have a vague understanding of what is going on. However, If there are certain players 'getin aero' and other players not, then the disparity can only cause confusion amongst the general public.
We have worked so hard to build a 'cool' and media friendly sport (perfect for being photographed with your stickered up bike) it would be a shame to throw this away for the sake of a few small rule changes. -

I agree, but all it takes is a few willing people and several willing cities and we could have a euros which doesn't look like an invitational.
We have plenty of time to get this sorted out if we start now.
We don't necessarily need an ehbp'A', we just need a ehbp'C' working committee of people to make a few decisions, write up a minimum standard for qualification tournaments and create a bid process.Cities can make a bid for the actual championships, and the north, south east west and central qualifiers.
OK, it's not that easy, but if all the energy spent typing arguments on the Internet about what went wrong this year was channeled into getting shit done, we could have a fair system that is enjoyable to take part in, whether you play in the euros or not.
