On a related note, the Sun & Doves in Camberwell have a film night once a week... Forum member elsquire works there, shouldn't be too difficult to organise a one off showing/mini bike film season... I know bums on seats wouldn't be a problem, we'd pack the place out... Worth investigation?
Which night is film night?

buy 10 of those LIDL ones for the price of one of these.. http://www.bike-shed.com/products.php?plid=m2b56s94p2347
despite their crappiness, could 10 of them deter a thief?

Is that rugby training with Old Alainians? I played a game for their fourths last year. It nearly killed me. Worse than Highgate hill.
I play for Guy's Hospital, just down by Honor Oak.. Going back up the other side is actually worse purely because I've been running around for over an hour before hand!

Wrote mine a couple of years ago but the best thing I was told to do was to mention the subjects I was taking/places I worked/hobbies I took part in etc etc then briefly explain what each taught me and then relate those 'lessons' to my intended course at university.. Basically I was saying why what I'm doing now makes me a good candidate for said course..
What do you intend to study?

What a fucking moron.

...
Thirty-five cars, stationary on the road. If they were moving at 30mph each car would need at least 10m of headway, so this is about as densely packed as cars get....
This is the cargo. Thirty-five individual drivers....
This is how much space they'd take up in a bus...
Here we have our thirty-five people getting on with life, some going into town on the bus, some cycling, some walking, a couple of small cars and a taxi. And that's just 35 people.. Think how much difference there is for 77,000 cars...

Hi all,
new to the forum and probably asking a question that many newcomers do but am looking to get my self a single speed bike.
The one I am looking at has the following dimensions:
Seat tube c to c 52cm and top tube 57cm
I will be using it as a road bike and i'm 5.11Can anyone let me know if I'm on the right lines with this size?
Thanks in advance
Check out this guy:
singlespeed.angelfire.com
His name's Dani, and he and his friend made a custom-built single speed for me, which is just perfect. Good value for money, and his service is friendly and honest. He is based in SE1.
Email and telephone number are on the website.
Good luck!
Is this some kind of convoluted advertising?
Whoever suggested Arrested Development and The Wire are dead on for me (I've got all three seasons of AD and all five of The Wire on my computer if they're needed)
Also, as an addition to Japanese animated films I'd have to say Akira is a must (live action version is coming out in 2009 apparently)
