Yep eddy, I havent done much on the route planning side of things except for get a book on caravan ready campsites in the UK. Didnt want to get too detailed as we dont know exactly who is in, what will happen, how we ride. etc... we can talk routes over a big ass map..
It would be good to secure the mystery machine.. Ratboy? anything?
Personally i dont feel it is necessary to do any charity stuff, but a bbq/raffle etc etc would be good, then the ugley twatters can steal all the pooolo cash hahahah! fuckers! oh wait.

Ok after last night,
Angelo is in as our primary pilot, Will is looking into a caravan and the new dates are somewhere between June 7-21. Looking at about 14 days (10 ish days riding, 2 days to drive back + a couple days for safety and ferry crossing allowance)
Also not listed for costs is the ferry ride which looks to be £15 from stormness to scrabster (northlink).
So far people who are in are:
Will
Harvey
Eddie
Angelo
Hayden
...add your name here and find yourself a comfortable saddle...I am working on a route on google maps, once I have something rough we can hash out the route better, look at any places wed like to see and figure out campsites etc..

Found these NYC rules, sound sensible to me..
Note that goals can be scored if the original hit is deflected off something and then in.
*-Two teams of three players.
-Any type of bicycle is allowed. Handlebars MUST be plugged.
-Mallets* must resemble a croquet mallet with a wide side and a round end. Modified ski poles and plastic pipe are the most common materials. The handle end of the mallet MUST be plugged.
-The ball will be a *street hockey ball.
-*Goals* will be a pair of orange cones spaced one bike length apart.
-If a goal cone is disrupted it is the responsibility of the player who disrupted it to fix it.
-Start of a game: Each team will be stopped behind its own goal line and the ball will be positioned at center court. Play will begin with a “3 2 1 GO!” from the sideline.
-Players may not play the ball with their feet at any time.
-Scoring a goal must be made from what started as a hit. A hit is made from the end of a player’s mallet. A “shuffle” does not count as a goal; if the ball is shuffled through the goal, play continues uninterrupted.
-After a goal is scored, the team who scored returns to their half of the court. The team who was scored on takes possession of the ball.
-Call out the score after each goal.
-Passing “backward” through the goal (from behind the goal line to in front of it, through the goal, a.k.a. “goal offsides”): When the ball is passed through the goal in this way, a goal CANNOT be scored by the first player to play the ball. Any subsequent player to play the ball may score. If a ball is shot from in front of the goal line and does not go through the goal but bounces off the back wall and comes out through the goal, the ball is in play and can be scored. A ball that crosses a goal line backwards must be “hit” before it can score.
-Players must not touch the ground, or “foot-down”. Each time a player goes foot-down, that player is out of play and may not play the ball until they ride to the side line at center court and ring the bell. Then they may return to play. Only one side of the court has a bell, not both.
-Contact rules: “Like” contact is allowed. Player to player (body to body), except grabbing or pushing with hands. Mallet to mallet (generally, hitting another player’s mallet is poor etiquette if that player is not attempting to play the ball or in front of the goal, playing goalie). Bike to bike.
-Everything else is NOT allowed: Mallet to player, player to bike, mallet to bike, etc.
-Throwing of mallets is not allowed at any time, in any situation.
-Some games are timed and end after 10 minutes. Some games are not timed.
-Most games are played to 5 points. Some games are played to 3 points.
-Trash talking is allowed.* -
Ok so looking at 750 miles for the route see map here:
So that is approx 1600 miles for the support veehickle so @ 15MPG and pound per litre we get 484 squids.
I assume Angelo is OK with being the main trucker? Others can switch out here and there.
Will we need to pay for campsites? Well probably need a shower or two.. Depending on how rough we are, camp shower bags on top of the trailer work ok too.
I imagine food and water will come to say 20 quid a day max?? so that makes 240 each (but most of us have to eat everyday anyways!)
As for time we are looking at approx 10 days riding plus 2 driving back.. and tack on a couple extra days for frolic in the meadows with a group of young attractive girlies on bikes! okok getting side tracked..
Provisional dates are June 13 to 28 ish. how does work for all interested? I guess we need to get all potential riders to look at this eh?
Do we really need to do the charity thing? maybe some type of fundraisy event for a boost? Polo BBQ?
If we are a go, a couple near 100mi training rides would be a good idea, maybe team up with team bogey?
OK its on the table so lets finger it ooot!

Hi, Im a forum rookie but here goes..
Looking to sell my recently restored lombardi frame.
Essentially it is a track frame completely faired in with wood. Frame takes a 650 front wheel so maybe the wood was applied as a sort of 'primitive' way to make the frame more aerodynamic for the pursuit.
Whatever the case, it is completely unique and looks the dogs balls.
Sorry, I dont have a 650c wheel so it is shown here with a 700c for representation.
Original black photo is to show gaps and proportion with 650 c front wheel.Comes with Shimano 600 BB and headset installed
Measurments:
Seat tube: 51.5 cm/cc
Top tube: 54cm/cc
Spacing 100/120
Threading: British
Seatpost size: 26.8Looking for reasonable offers to cover original frame and resto materials.
I talked to a fellow who did the LEJOG with support and he said that his marvellous driver managed to sort out food and lodging for each night..That way they could judge distances and tiredness on the fly. (not like well be tired) I can get some special mexican turbo beans. just dont follow to close. I wonder how wonderful Angelo is?
