This morning I was caught in a queue of traffic behind a bus.
I started to overtake and just as I was passing one of the cars in the queue it suddenly pulled out. The driver had not looked in his mirrors or indicated. Suddenly I found myself being forced into the path of an oncoming bus.
I missed the bus and carried on, the car then came up really close behind me and started beeping, I made the "wanker" gesture at the driver and he drove past.
At the next set of lights as I was filtering through the traffic I saw a car door open, it was the same driver (luckily I was filtering down the other side of his car). He then came running at me swinging his arms and shouting abuse. I managed to dodge him and get past.
Suffice to say have been feeling a little rattled since then. I just loved his attitude, he had failed to run me into the path of a bus so then sought to have another go at me at the first opportunity.
I will now return to bike radar or C+.
you should have d-locked him :{)

so is that just polished alu? Are you going to just keep it polished or apply a coating? Seems like you'd have to polish it a lot. I say this cause I've just done the same and am a bit worried about oxidisation.
polish with natural bee wax [that is my old man's advice].. it protects from uneven oxidation

anyone know anything more about these style frames, bars coming from top of forks?
is the style called anything in particular? any frame builder specialise in them? would like to look into picking one up but not sure where to startit is hard to get any info in English, you would need a russian speaking person to track down that frame as it is from soviet era. apart from former soviet union countries there may be some left in the east berlin [as close as you can get physically near the frame living in UK], but unlikely...

as i have mentioned two pairs of hubs [5 hubs after last night's ebaying], a seatpost, a stem, cranks + pedals :{(... prefer to do it in one go.. after polishing all lot i will be waxing it [natural bee wax - stops uneven oxidation] - by hand it would take a while...
**jol **you have been using a very special pajamas to polish that stem :{)

Any bench buffer machine/polisher owners out there,
I have few bits [two pairs of hubs, a seatpost, a stem, cranks] which need polishing. I was wondering if anyone on this forum have a bench buffer i could use for 4-5 hours [if You have some sort of shed, garage, workshop space]. I could bring some beer and snacks/meal in return. Surely I would use my own polish wheels and compound... Any time suitable to You
Thanks:{)
