Here you go http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Tour-de-North-London
I try and do this ride at the weekends if there is nothing else on. Be warned though, it is bloody hard work, especially on a fixed.Top left corner, click on 'Show' and 'View Elevation Profile' to get an idea of how bad it is. On days like today it would be a real killer
cheers mike will give it a go on the w/e... if i'm feeling up to it!

recently purchased a brooks' swallow and after an initial ride am surprised as to the level of comfort. I was expecting to be in some pain for a couple of months at least but it is quite good already, so now expecting that in a couple of months it will be like cycling in a hammock on a sand quay off Zanzibar...
any idea of how many hours in the saddle I need to put in before reaching this nirvana?

just wondering what everyone's opinion on thread lock is. my lockring thread (the one on the hub) is a bit worn and the lockring seems to loosen. i was given advice that maybe some blue threadlock could help and was wondering if this is a viable solution or do I just need to replace the hub altogether.
[basically, I have borrowed a mates bike for a few months whilst he is on holiday to see if the ss was for me. after a couple of weeks i flipped the hub to ride fixed and am a convert. he rides free-wheel so i don't really want to replace the whole hub for a couple of months, before i get my own ride.]
I love my bell - but not sure it works too well with trucks, buses, cars, etc... I wish it did. Maily use it for dopey pedestrians that don't look before they cross the road.
