What you lot got lying around that isn't being used?
Looking for a frame /forks, 56-58cm , doesn't have to be anything amazing just half decent, ex racing frame anything like that, for a new project... looking to spend around £50 - £80.

Ok, first build frame, been watching ebay / here / gumtree etc. for a while now, so thought I'd see what the forum has lying in it's sheds and garages.
I'm 6ft 1" so looking for about 59-60cm, road / track / racing frame, basically anything that would make a half decent first build.
Looking to spend upto £30 - £40 , and I'm in Newcastle so gotta be willing to send it (chuck in £10 - £20 for that)
Come on...someone must want rid of something...

that looks like a NO NO for me
wheel and sprocket sells a lot of flashy looking low to mid range bits. And since they're based in the us of A you're gonna have to pay an import tax to help refurbish HM's palace.haha, too true. nicely put!

Ok my build is underway, now Im looking around at frames and wondering if anyones had any experience with these frames
Or seen one in the flesh?
Loads on here about wheel and sprocket but couldn't find anything on these "EighthInch" track frames.

Ok... looked around a bit since the above post, and have seen these. They ship to the UK.
Any thoughts? I know a lot's been said about Weinmanns, but my bike won't be getting loads of use to be honest, a few miles a day tops.
What do you think?

that's a good deal, but try to get a fix/fix hub as a singlespeed freewheel can be attached to it, but it also means when you try fixed you can have two different ratios. it will save you money in the long run

Evening!
For my new (and very first) build I'm wondering how to go about the wheels. I'm based in Newcastle, and ain't sure whether to attempt a build, or get them built up (or buy a set ready, from ebay or something...)
Anybody know any good wheelbuilders near / in the North?
Or any other advice on getting a good wheelset is also welcomed!

There is a beautiful Eddie Merckx on retrobike.Nice one, cheers v much for that link, what are the hassles in getting some forks? Is it that hard to find some to fit? I'll steer clear if so...

is that 100-150 for the frame only or 150 for the whole bike?
Well, prob stretch to £100 for the frame, all depending how much the rest will set me back, what you think? Couple of hundred - £250 would be nice for the whole build...
