mystery shopper for a pub chain
where do i apply ?Retail Eyes for 'spoons
Also TNS for Mitchell & Butlers (O'Neills, Nicholsons, etc.)
It won't make you rich, but it gets you out and around town on the bike.
There are others - MSE is a good a place as any to find out about them.

boggle I can only assume they've redone it. It got my vote for shittest pubin London. Carpet was filthy, whole bar area reeked of vomit and there were mice running around the seats.
The vomit observation was made twice, several months apart.
The second time I was there as a mystery shopper and made sure to mention it on the report, so maybe they did something about it.

Spotted in Morrisons - Taylor's Hot Java Lava
Reminded me of uni when I used to be able to drink a mug (8 shots) of espresso made with that stuff and then go to sleep. Ahh, student days....
Put some in my maker overnight, but it's as I remembered. Harsh as hell. Kept me going most of the day though.
One of the nicer commonly-stocked (OTP?) coffees I've found is Lavazza Crema e Gusto. Comes out quite nice in my stovetop maker.
btw, there's a catering supply shop on the east side of Stoke Newington High St some way north of the police station. That's where I got the stovetop and they had an espresso machine or two if you fancied dropping a wodge. No idea if they were good value, but maybe more hardwearing than your typical Argos or John Lewis stock.

Exactly, kids will often do that because they feel embarrassed waiting at the light while the grown up jumped it as if it's perfectly normal.
A teacher friend of mine said she will never cross the road without using a crossing point because she has to set an example to the kids.
Really, if you think you're Someone Who Know Better (i.e. knows what you are doing) I feel the same applies, TBH. I like winding people up probably as much as DJ seems to (whether intentional on his part or not), but I just don't really want others thinking WAC when they see me (this may be unavoidable :) ) so I try to ride around sensibly.
I still like to travel between home to work as quickly as I can though.

Right into the category of "how would anyone know, and why would you risk it?"
Pretty much what I thought, but the internet says it does so who am I to disagree?

My experience with the Park self-adhesive patches is that at 110-120psi they tend to fail eventually.
Now, that might be my failure to fit them properly, but when they went there was a pattern in the glue which I could only describe as looking like a wormery. It was as though the air had been exploring all the avenues of least resistance until it finally found a way out.
I don't use them any more - they're quick, but patches aren't too slow either and I've had a higher success rate with those.
Reminds me, I'm out of spare tubes.

Landlord at one of the pubs we went to for Easts a couple of weeks back said that there had been a few cases of people having superglue put in their locks.
Same effect, different method.
Pretty tough to defend against, I'd say.
Maybe hide around the corner with a taser and aim for the scrotal area?
