Complete terror. I couldn't have breakfast without my toes being nibbled.

I quite like the Sov - the pub quiz is entirely optional although it does bring a lot more people in on Wednesdays (I went in on Thursday and it was almost empty).
The atmosphere is good, there are a couple of largeish tables available, the pizza is good and you don't have to leave the pub to get it and the pub quiz is optional -many people seem to turn up midway through or even after the end of the quiz and have a drink and shoot the breeze.
It's also convenient for me, so consider this heavily biased :)
Oh, and I quite like the Tribute beer they have - it's easy drinking

Apparently it was minus 10 when I rode half an hour across part of the Peak District last night in the pitch black.

I wasn't wearing shorts this time, though.

Still, at £12 a pair new from eBay, when they wear out you can just chuck them.

I swear by my M520s, don't see the point in anything more expensive and like having double sided too - have never really got on with single sided.

That's the thing - they're quite inexpensive compared to the alternatives and if they're maybe not engineered to be as durable or they break it doesn't really matter.

But, like I say, I don't really have anything to compare them to so maybe they're total crap and I just don't know.

A10 from N16 to the city was fine although it was hard to tell if the slush was icy or not. I assumed not and survived.
Side roads were a bit iffy and a little cycle track cut through I use had a layer of ice with lots of holes in it, a bit like a curly wurly. Fun times.

Stoke Newington looked jolly nice in the snow today

Yeah, was lovely. Rode through Clissold Park at lunchtime. Manor Road was slow and slippy but the rest was brilliant fun.
