As some of you may well by aware I got stitched up with a dented Rock Lobster frame that although I have been assured is perfectly fine to ride I've fallen out with it and am offering it up here along with some other bits so I can fund my MTB project
1) Rock Lobster Reynolds 853 MTB frame 19"
Price SOLDPlease note the dent in the top tube I have tried to show it as best as possible but you are more than welcome to come and take a look for yourselves The frame does have various other scratches on it and chips in the paint - it has obviously been well used in a past life!
It has both disc and v brake mounts. I paid £100 for it before I knew it was dented. I'm putting it up here for £25 due to the dent in the top tube.
2) Visp alloy frame and fork 56cm
Price SOLDI bought this after I missed my old one, rode it around for a little while, the bottom bracket started to make a awful noise then picked up a Dolan Fxe instead. The cranks and bottom bracket are included but as mentioned I think the bottom bracket is toast. Also both of the extracting threads are stripped on the cranks so I can't get them off. Someone else might have more luck than me but I have given up on it myself.
Also it is worth noting that the rear dropouts are quite thick so your rear axle needs to be quite long to be able to screw the bolts on to secure the rear. I know that ambrosio hubs are no good.
3) Stronglight 170mm cranks 48t chainring 107mm BB
SOLDThese are in perfect working order. They were used for 20 miles then taken off and put back in the box.
Collection from EC1 london near the three kings pub I can probably post the cranks but due to the price of the frames it's not worth posting either of them.. Cash is king no dibs

Apparently he forgot about the dent because it's not a problem?
Re: Rock lobster
I'm glad you got it safely.
And about the dent, I am truly sorry, I must of forgot to mention it as it was never a problem for me! That's how I received the frame when I brought it and I've rode it for many a month without a issue, as its steal a dent doesn't effect the integrity of the frame you see. Hence why I forgot to mention it.
Sorry pal.

a 48t ring is the same size on the outside what ever the bcd is. With a 130bcd chainset though they'll probably be designed for double rings so if you put a 48 on the outside it will seem like it's further away from the chainstays.
It was the spider that was catching rather than the ring itself I just listed the ring sizes used for completeness.

edgar, you thought about using a 130bcd crank? I'm running an old Shimano (exage something, I think) with a 107mm bb and 42mm chainline, with no clearance issues. I got a 42t on there at the moment but had it fitted with a 52t with no problems.
I fitted a 130BCD Sugino crank with a 48t ring last night and now have laughable amounts of clearance. Rode to work today and it was absolutely fine.
Seems like Dolan designed the fxe with a 130 crank in mind

Got these bits to try and get a decent setup on my new Dolan frame but no luck so here they are for sale.
~~Sram Omniums 170mm length, 48t chainring, GXP BSA bottom bracket.
They've done zero miles the bb was fitted up to the frame but the cranks haven't seen a chain or even had a pedal fitted.
SOLD~~
~~Stronglight 2000 crankset 170mm length, 48t chainring, 107mm stronglight BSA 68mm bb.
The cranks have only done 20 miles so are pretty much brand new. The bb hasn't done a mile as they made the cranks touch the frame.
SOLD~~
~~Veloce BB 111mm BSA 68mm
Fitted up to the frame with my stronglights ridden to the end of the road and back so hasn't done a mile. Some light marks from tightening up.
SOLD~~
Shimano UN55 113mm BB 68mm
Done 20 miles with the stronglight cranks, threw the chainline out to far to use again.
£10£8
Everything is located in Clerkenwell, near the three kings pub Monday - Friday. I could probably post if really needed.
Dibs followed by a PM is fine but if you don't come and collect for a day or two it's going back up for sale - Sorry!

I picked up a veloce 111mm bb on the way home and it seems a bit better, not perfect but better. I haven't ridden it yet but the spider is a hair away from the frame so a little worried about how it'll be under stress so I will see what it's like on the way to work tomorrow.
If it doesn't work out I'll give a 130bcd a go!
Cheers for your help
**EDIT - The 111mm bb makes the spider touch when out of the saddle. Going to try and dig out a old 130bcd crank I have in the shed at my mum and dads.

Clearing out a few bits as follows -
Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit small U lock -
Used three times but it is a bit too small for what I need. The cheapest I can find it online is £59.99. Comes with keys and even the original box!
SOLD
2 x Panaracer Pasela Tourguard gumwall
Bought these for a project that never happened, they don't really suit my current bike and they are brand new - some dust from being in the shed but other than that, never been used. Cheapest I can find them online is £19.99 each.
Price £30 for both.
Collection from Clerkenwell, near the three kings pub.
Thanks very much
