Forgot to mention?
It was 23:23 and you were disassembling your headset to get your stem out.
I think you forgot to get your google out. blows raspberryThis is true, I got Sheldon Brown on the line instead and from what I can remember of what he told me last night is that he did not mention this either. Which might indicate that it should be obivous, only it wasn't. To me at least.
I tried dis-assembling a front caliper to put in a longer bolt but after reassembling it never seemed to work properly :-( Okay will bring along whatever I have got here.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
This means I'll at least come up to drinks for a little bit. Goodie. -
P!MP that would be nice. Though would you mind brining whole calipers? I've tried to look at my caliper and see how I could change the nut but I think I'd have to disasemble the whole thing and I'm not sure I'd be able to get it back together in working condition.
Fixing Bolt is the name I've heard of. -

undo allen bolt and tap it down a bit to release the wedge / expander

Will see you peeps tomorrow hopefully - is the pizza a regular thing? This did it. What you forgot to mention though is to not undo the allen bolt all the way, just a couple of turns on it. Worked great. No need for the wrenchy thing.
Now I only need a new front caliper with a long nut on it. Or maybe a standard nut if the Langsters caliper are shorter and different which wouldn't surprise me one bit.
It's slow riding brakeless.
Also, I MIGHT come up tonight for a glass of qater. Which means a quickie. Have to continue to clean the flat so it's presentable to the agency and whatnot. -

Actually I sorted the pedal out before I left. This very strong latino man came in and helped me. Seriously. So rode brakeless home. Yikes.
Still might need the caliper though. Gonna try some stuff out later.
Also, might be a silly question. How do I get a quill stem loose? Do I just need a big wrench to undo that big wrench needing thing? Or is there some other secret? Just undoing the allen key top isnt enough. obivously. -
Anyone at Norths have either pedals with straps and that or a front brake caliper to spare for the cheap? Can't get one of my pedals of the Langster and the brake calipers screw thingie is to short for the holes in the new forks. I'm at the moment without a bike since they're at work and I've got no time to fix them up today before i go home. Damn it.

It is supposedly a vintage track Ron Cooper though I'm not entirely sure that this is correct. It does have a very light tubing and the lugs are nice and all that. It doesn't have any C's or anything on it.
According to the seller they were bought in by an older guy for his cycling club many years ago, he's the one saying it is a Ron Cooper. I know the seller did sell other Coopers at the same time with the Branding an all that.
Either way I'm looking forward to building it. -
