Bought this from the forum a few months back to build up for visiting friend to get around on for a fortnight, then had long term plans for it to be my winter fun bike (eventually aiming to braze in Disc mounts and a permanent front rack).
Sadly there is not enough seat tube for my long legs.
It's an early 90s 700c mountain bike by Diamond Back as part of their Overdrive range.
The Ambition was made from less bling steel.Comes with front canti hanger, refreshed 1" headset, seat post (unusual size).
Note - the frame has been de-stickered, but sports the original paint. Some aesthetic wear, but structurally perfect.I can include a new saddle and a beater back wheel (zero brake rim wear, but needs bearings servicing) for a few quid more.
I'll be keeping all the other parts I built it up with.My friend absolutely loved it for the 9 days he rode it with short stem and on one Mary bars and it was only his return trip to the other side of the world that stopped him buying it from me.
Big clearance in the frame and fork so it can accommodate some beefy tyres.
Top tube c-c 59.5cm
Virtual Top tube c-c 61cm
Seat tube c-t 55cmCollection from SE27
Frame and seatpost owe me £65.
Saddle and wheel will a tenner more.Photos coming ASAP.

Are there many bass players on this thread?
I intend to sell a couple of my basses over the next few months to raise funds for my next album and thought it worth seeing if they are to the tastes of anyone here. Both have high sentimental value and I want them to go to the right, good home.
Kramer 350B, Aluminium neck, single pick-up.
Monster sound.Sterling Ray34 de-fretted.
I'll make an official for sale post in due course.

I've become involved in some charity and group rides, raising awareness for the Gaza Sunbirds.
The rides are very accessible and as such some riders have never had a puncture before let alone attempted to repair one.
I happily help those riders and would like a few extra innertubes to augment the supply I take with me.
If anyone has some old tubes that they can't be bothered to patch anymore, especially in 26" and 20" sizes I would be very grateful for them.
Cheers

Looking for a 27.2mm Thomson elite to replace the one stolen from my bike.
Has to be 410mm.Ideally black and inline, but have another project where a setback could be considered and silver could work if the price is right.
Looking for a London cash transaction preferably as stuff by post is a nightmare to my flat.

I can see this will become my favourite section of LFGSS.
My colleagues were appalled/amused by my saddle bodge (we work in a restoration workshop so creative thinking is mandatory, but bodges are totally frowned upon).
Today I took the chance to get my track pump working again. The head had given up, but the original hose is a beefy diameter and I couldn't find a direct replacement or compatible head, so I bought the more ubiquitous smaller hose and head and took a few minutes iver lunch break to machine a step down converter.
Brought both the hoses to the same OD with layers of heat shrink and clamp the whole thing with jubilee clips. If I can get another 20 years out of this track pump I will be thrilled!

@si_mon628 I've wanted to make a plywood saddle for years and this may prove to be the gateway

Turns out the creaking I'd been hearing for the last week was the slow demise of the rails on my saddle which finally snapped in two this morning.
Need to get home so chopped and routed a bit of ply to support the saddle.
Gaffa tape going on in a minute.
This just needs to hold until Wednesday when I can fit my other saddle.

I have a bad feeling this won't fit the very narrow stud dimensions on my frame
Won't be home to measure my bike until tomorrow evening so I will pass to @Valanidi
