@Velocio I'm afraid hiding the thread hands a victory to Thom. I've tried hard to get people to see this thread and read Thom's opinions and views in his own words and his attempts to justify them. In the past he's been very clever to hide behind online personas and use self censorship to never leave himself exposed. But here it is in his own words - admittedly still behind usernames - but there is enough evidence here to link this to him. Just look at the users joining the forum to share their experiences of him and his behaviour - it's been going on for years.

Rutland CC are due to meet soon to discuss their association with him with the added motivation to reform the club - this is a very good thing seeing as what was discovered about them recently. This thread would be evidence for those members not aware of what's been going on or of Thom's views and it seems he has plenty of influence within the club's hierarchy to keep himself onboard. Thom has an active sponsorship of Cycling Sheffield Team who are co-sponsored by a number of locals businesses including Giant Sheffield, I'm sure they'd be interested to read the thread too. They can then make up their own minds about their associations.

There's still activity on Twitter with Richard Moore commenting on Tom Whalley's Cycle Shed Cast episode where he discusses this and Thom is actively trying to have his say there. Without the thread being public he can simply deny most of what he's written and rewrite the story to suit his own outcome. And we know he loves to control the narrative.

Thom knew exactly what he was doing when he joined the thread and knew exactly how to destroy it by spamming it with fake users creating chaos and a massive headache for the the mods. The result is a hidden thread and a smirking Thom. And as @übé®_grübé® said, we shouldn't be doing Thom any favours. So please, make the thread public but locked.

Depends which one of his personalities is in charge at any given moment and he has as many of them as he does bobble hats. And there’s the IG accounts too.....

All these twitter accounts are Thom. And these are just the ones I know of. aesthete_thom was his too remember but it’s now suspended - he never denied retweeting the Diane Abbott meme, he doubled down on it in fact. The Christian Bartholomew account was trolling one of his old adversaries this morning. But, in true Thom style, tweets have been deleted.

Neither do I but that’s his MO. Ask yourself who would join the forum and thread randomly and make such a post out of the blue? New user. One post. I know of a number of fake twitter accounts he’s using or has used to troll people. One of which was Dr Chris Cushing and then there’s aesthete_thom.

No idea. The fact that Rutland CC admitted they were offensive images and removed them says it all. The character isn’t important that he was trying to be; it’s the reasoning to yourself that it’s ok to do it in the first place. But given the climate of the club it’s hardly surprising that he may have thought it not offensive in the first place.

Reading the diction of those tweets it’s probably Thom.

They keep crawling out of the woodwork. If I wasn’t gobsmacked enough when I discovered those pics, I’m even more now given that someone is defending one of them.

And one of their friends is defending it on Twitter to me.

Have been on at them about their association with Thom via Twitter but this is next level. Have emailed club secretary last night, no response so far, will tweet them shortly. They tend ignore though, which in itself, speaks volumes.

Yep. The club secretary emailed me about club policy of inclusion knowing those blackface pictures were on their social media.

Oh look! Just your local friendly cycling club getting dressed up for their Christmas December 2017 fancy dress do. The insteresting one here is the guy dressed up as a taliban fighter. He’s Tony Sweeney AKA Antoine Ventouse and is Thom’s closest confidante, influence and best mate. I’ve never met him but by all accounts he’s a cunt too. He’s also the guy that writes the Independent Mind drivel in Mamnick’s journal section.

The club secretary emailed me stating “I can assure that our club is strongly committed to providing an environment where members can participate regardless of their age, ability, gender, disability, race, parental or marital status, religion or belief or sexual orientation.” I suggested he put this mission statement on the front page of their website. I guess it all makes sense now with the Thom / Mamnick partnership. I was told that they don’t trawl though anyone’s social media if they donate prizes. It’s something I tend to do funnily enough.
