I was in Copenhagen this weekend and I have seen lots of bikes of course but the state of the drivetrains was shocking: Even the newish, epensive bikes had Tango-coloured chains. What's up with that? Is chain lube illegal or something? Harsh sea climate?

I don't really get what is happening at the very end. The car is reversing into the road? And the cyclist hits it a the front? Why was it reversing anyway? (This is obviously not the point of the ad.)

Ha! Only English people can be so spectacularly tasteless but that is what I kinda like about them.

I find the Park Tools website pretty annoying, thanks to the way it suggests using the Park Tool GR73 genital retainer to prevent your penis catching in your drivetrain while maintaining it, etc, etc. I always open an article and think "well, I might as well just buy a new bike instead of all those incredibly specific and expensive tools."

Hello fixie people!

I'm currently building my first fixie, and I'm using an old Triumph touring frame that I bought when I was 10. Fotunately I haven't grown much since then so it still fits. Anyway, Now that I've ridden it a few thousand miles, and now stripped off the gear mechs, the brakes, and the mudguards an everything, the original red paint is a bit chipped and faded. I either want to touch it up very accurately, or take the paint off. I can't see the point for a cheap conversion to pay for a powdercoat or anything. Has anybody else tryed to strip all of the paint off? Does it look at all good? I'm really quite stuch about this :/

A DIY paintjob doesn't really pay off (rattlecans are as much an Armourtex job) and I think stripping would make it rust.
