i just went back to the mechanics+fixing page: is this?

year unknown - probably 60's-80's though...

I am sure sheep wont mind donating one of his ebay frames to this. Especially seeing as it is so local.
Ill get on the case tomorrow.do you not use the cyclists own bicycle, sprayed white?
i mean - that would make more sense - it would be closer to the person concerned and be a more valid memorial... also it would require permission from the cyclists family, giving it added support...however it would take a while to bring about as i imagine its now in an evidence lock up somewhere.

the cyclist was riding south down stoke newington high street; the hgv was either travelling the same route or turning right out of manor road (former route is more likely)
the collision occoured just beside stoke newington train station, where the entrance to the alley and the jehovas witnesses church is.
the police were investigating right underneath the lorry this seems to suggest that the woman went right under the truck when the collision occoured.my thoughts go out to friends and family who are now going through such a terrible time.

dunno if its because its bike week or sumit, but it just happened to me again on the way home tonight - these punks were bikeless though...
they shouted out "pap" as i rode by, stimulating my adrenal glands for fear of them having a real "papper" - no gains on either side in the end...haven't had a problem with it in the past, but the past was when i didn't cycle round at 1 in the morn...
this is upper clapton/stoke newington area; and its proper shit. -
-
nearly got my bike jacked last night - two "urban" cyclists coming towards me as i was setting off - the moment they passed me they did the tightest turn ever (one of them fell off) and came after me - by this time id got my momentum up and left them to bite my dust :-D
stuff to keep you on your toes!

in other news: i notice that the above bike has radial lacing for the front and mixed for the back - is this recommended? or do you ideally need more strength in the front wheel, say for turning and such? (i try not to think about the crashing aspect!!!)
edit: i bothered to do a search and found was rewarded with a superb result
-
for some reason when i look at these pics, i have a brief inspection noting what features i like about it, and then really focus on how it is standing up - i think its a want to understand the magical aura that i associate with bicycles; when that magic is made more tangible, i.e. a self standing bicycle, it gives me a steadier format through which to explore... or something
-
I've said it before and I will say it again, human shit on the saddle and handle bars will beat any lock.
this concept interests me alot - how do you make a **new **bike that your using as a beater look bad enough to not want to be stolen?
i've heard tell of innertubes, but not much more than that... specifically -
FrankMG tell me that's photoshopped, please.......:O
google images does not share your opinions on beauty - google images will take all it can get

well we all know that once you get to a certain level of officiality, you have to turn all logic to your policies in completely the opposite direction just to survive not being laughed at by your fellow officious bodies - i mean, imagine going out there with something that was effective - that worked!you'd never live it down - im telling you!!!
now tell me - did i overdo that a bit?
