Yeah bit of a bummer really, i have listend to what people have said about moving it on but in all honesty i might keep it for the time being soley for getting to work, other bikes i have would be nicked in 5 mins, i'm quite pissed TBH as the bike is untoched and origional, the closer i look it just needs a good clean.......Oh well.

Speaking of one that fits, i have very short legs, almost kids size, i've seen this which is vey small, luckly i can go look at it but the guy emailed me and reckons it only has 21inch wheels (would this be correct) his listing says it's an 18inch but his email says it's a 19 inch frame either way i thought 26inch wheels would be the norm..Hmmmm.

Being new to the fixed/SS scene i kinda know nothing, today i went to a car boot sale and snapped this up for a mere £10.00, but was it a tenner well spent, sadly the frame is too big for me (it fits me with the saddle right down) the reason i bought it was simply for the parts, the brakes, head set, bottom bracket, all work perfectly, there isn't even any rounded off nuts on it.
Anyway tell me what you think.
Ok so i may have wasted a tenner but we all learn ....dont we.

Ok going off advice on a previous thread i've been looking around for a frame for my very first project, question is, is it worth buying or could i get stung, the guy lives less than 10mins away from where i live so has said i could pick it up thus avoiding the postage charge, anyway, what do you reckon, Yay or Nay.

Just considering my options here, i was looking on Cotic and came across the Roadrat, http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/roadrat
also Brick Lane sells similar frames, would these be a good option. -

What size is your Giant? That'd be a good starting point.
Frame size 50 cm
The thing i don't get is, my road bike is 50cm, my mountain bike is 16 inches, if you divide 50cm which is 500mm by 1 inch you get 20 inches, no way is my road bike a 20 inch frame, or am i going to look a complete dick here because my calculations are wrong.

Been lurking in the background for a while now and a combination of this forum and the fixed gear gallery has gotten me hooked, so hi to you all.
Anyway, a couple of months ago i bought a Giant road bike (before i discovered fixed or SS) i'm a bit cheesed off at the moment as i could have had one of the Charge bikes for around the same price, i have bought a single speed conversion kit but sadly because of the vertical dropouts i needed a tensioner but it is far to noisey and just doesn't look right, the term " Trying To Polish A Turd" has now sprung to mind.
I now feel that my only option is a new frame and switch most bits over.....Soooo can anyone recommend a frame for around £200 or less so i can get myself out of this FIX,Cheers.
A little more help required i think, this is me on this bike with the saddle at it's lowest, i've measured the frame from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube, this measures 23 inches, now, i have my eye on a 21inch frame but i'm a little unsure wether it's gonna fit.
Going off this pic do you think a 21 inch is also gonna be to big.
