I do wonder sometimes about the minority and independent candidates. I mean is it like xfactor levels of deluded-ness where they really think they've got talent?
to be a candidate you have to have supporters all over London (33 signatures from each borough) plus £10k deposit. the deposit is forfeit if you get under 5% of the first preference vote. While not impossible, it's equally not a light undertaking.

rather than usual CS7, decided to turn off at Oval to Vauxhall > North embankment. was late into work, but bloody lovely cycling next to the river. Parliament Square a bit of a mess tho - heading back towards the river the lights were green for cars but red for cycles for a while... and obviously all the cyclists just acted like cars as they're perfectly allowed to do.
highlight was a brompton rider with shirt, chinos and aero helmet w/ full face visor.

i think this is definitely falling into the "and other stories" part of the thread. epic #csb all round

thankfully the lack of hi-viz pedestrian warning shouty people at E&C worked fine today - I breezed through.
I think I've worked out the lack of blue paint - technically the blue paint is for the Cycle Superhighways as opposed to mere cycle paths. and I think northbound CS7 turns left just before E&C along an alleyway. felt like sherlock when I got that.

first time back on bike for 6 weeks following snowboarding and required fractured elbow - it was glorious. even the constant creak from either my saddle, clamp or seatpost couldn't upset me.
E&C - quite enjoyed it. we'll have to see how well it works once the funding runs out for the hi-viz people shouting at pedestrians on their phones

i dunno about breath, but i did have a funny taste in my mouth for a few days, but it then passed which i think is the general process.
biggest tip for keto when starting out - you need to pay attention to your electrolytes. almost definitely not getting enough, which can make you feel a bit flu-ey.

I guess this is as good a place as any...
Following 2 years thinking it over I'm stopping my current mind-numbing career in insurance and pursuing plumbing. I have little direct experience but enough around the fringes to be ludicrously excited enough to commit to it. I'll start college in September to get the level 2 diploma, hopefully South Thames (Wandsworth High Street) but if not I've got a place at Lambeth (Vauxhall/Stockwell).
SALES PITCH: Will be FUNemployed from 1 June, and am keen to find a labourers job to get experience before college. I know I'll be more of a hindrance than a help for a couple of weeks but am happy to do whatever rubbish tasks are available in exchange for basically watching someone work.
Can anyone help? pretty please?

surprised that I can't find any news stories about the pedestrian run over by a bus at the top of Brixton Hill on Saturday night - happened about 8.40pm. My friend was in the sainsburys local, heard the thud, looked up to see body under the wheels, and was one of many who rang 999.
We went past about 90 mins later and the road was closed off both ways, pedestrian taken to hospital, described as "life-changing" injuries. His shoes were still in the road - grim.
