Can I just jump in here and ask a question... I'm getting new bars and brake levers for my bike this weekend and after reading this topic, I think they will be BMX levers.
What cables do I need to go with them? Can I use my existing cable or would I need to get new road/mtb/bmx cables?
Front and rear brakes.
Thanks

Hey there, Don't see many Newcastle upon Tyne riders around here. Just been on a night ride around the city and was thinking about organising some kind of city ride or race. I know one or two people who would do it but was wondering if anyone else on here would?
From the amount of fixed-gear riders I see around town (2 in the past year) I think it would have to be more like, anyone on a bike/road bike is welcome to ride.
Could try and get interest by flyering 'interesting' bikes parked around the city.
Phil.

They don't buckle, and it is rare to see an Arrospok break (there is that one image of a snapped Aspok floating around the internet, but it had a truck reverse over it) in this respect they are very strong, good for doing tricks where you land heavily on your front wheel.
They kinda' start life buckled, they don't run true from day one (this is true of other cheaply made carbon wheels too) - in fact the manufacturer warns you that you need to open up your front break so that the pads give the wheels a little more room to wiggle around as it turns.
cool thanks for the info..
so what do you guys think about langsters then?

I was simply asking about those wheels as i like the look of them, I'm not gonna go buy one tomorrow or anything, and I get people flaming me for using the word 'fixie'.
I didn't realise the aerospokes were disliked so much as I see a lot of them on 'FixedGear' galleries.
So why do people use them? Also, what happens when you go over a bump and a normal wheel would buckle? Do they explode or something?

Alright there. I've had a search round this forum and the internet but couldn't find anything good enough.
I was wondering where everyone gets their bike parts from? Like online stores or real shops or whatever.
Specifically I'm looking for things like these wheels... SNC13029 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!@@AMEPARAM@@http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3016/2313597140_d5b69535d0.jpg?v=0@@AMEPARAM@@2313597140@@AMEPARAM@@d5b69535d0
