I would and could ride it with no nuts but the dropout bits are dodgy so the wheel moves around loads, pretty difficult to steer. Gonna go to a bike recycling place tomorrow and see if they have any as they refurbish old bikes.

Alright there, wasn't sure where to put this as its half a 'look at my bike' thread and half 'wanted' thread but anyway.

It started out as a 6 speed so I just stripped it down etc, stuck a sprocket on it. Its currently a suicide hub so rather than die riding it or get a new wheel i thought id just weld the sprocket on there, i have no other use for the wheel/sprocket/bike so it doesn't matter if it goes wrong.

Second, I need some front tracknuts. I've been looking everywhere and no one has them, my LBS didn't even go and look, they just glanced at the axle and told me to fuck off. This may be due to them being cocks. No one could even tell me what kind of nut I need. I have some M8 nuts and they seem to be the right size but the thread is wrong, needs to be a higher pitch I think.

So does anyone have some spare nuts I could buy? The hub says 'mallard' on it and its off a Raleigh Europa. Here is a picture of the axle...

Looking for a cheap fixed rear wheel for a conversion i'm doing to replace the freewheel hub wheel it has already. To fit 120mm spacing.

Don't really want to spend more than around £40 to £50.

I already have a sprocket and lockring.

i had this problem when i went fixed last week, i got metal toeclips which made it much easier and i also no longer stop at lights, or for anything, until i reach my destination.

probs for the best, i went for a ride last night and i cannot move my legs today.

yeh those city lansters are discusting, i hated the green 08 model too. the new standard 09 looks decent tho, best langster so far i reckon...

I'm just glad I bought my Rusty 07 langster when I did...

beach sounds good, though i did a loop a few months ago and it was 22 miles following the coast to coast route.

I switched to fixed now so hopefully still be able to keep up!
