I live near Newcastle, had a ride through town with my mate the other week, we're both on fixeds.
Will tell him about this and come join you's, was all fun cycling round with him until we stopped and met friends.
Seen one or two in town, always a shocker.monument at 7 as long as its not raining shall we say?

The hub is aluminium, cant be welded, but the guy managed to erm.... 'smoosh' the metal of the hub around the sprocket so it cant come off, the sprocket remains unharmed too, ive not ridden it yet as i need pedals but ive tried to get the sprocket off with a chain whip and couldnt, i think it will hold till i can afford a new wheel at least.

I think I might start a clothing brand called 'Deaf Cyclist' I like the sound of it.
To be honest I don't think any kind of clothing worn will warn people that you are deaf. Even a long message explaining it, I can see being worn by someone trying to be cool.
I think you would be better off having some kind of sign on the actual bike, though I' sure it would be hard to see.

Can I just jump in and ask something...
I found a powdercoat place near mine (Newcastle). In the past I have been quoted around £60 for painting my frame, but these guys said they can do it for £10-£15.

Appart from that horrific website they seem OK to me. Reckon I should be wary?

I had this last week while working on a conversion, it was just a stiff link but it went away after slackening the chain tension. Try turning the cranks really slowly and wait for the click, see which link is about to go round the sprocket/chainring and mark it. Spin a few more times and repeat. If its the same place then its a stiff link.
