yeah, paint needs to be removed asap. just got it today, ridiculously cheap. has campag mirage/veloce groupset with a shimano rear derailleur as the original one snapped. gonna go down the hub tomorrow, see if anyone has a replacement

Yeah I mean, anything in the OVF is always in focus because its just a window. So the red non focus box pops up and I wonder why when it looks in focus to me!

I usually have the centre focus point selected and use focus & recompose too.

Just messing with it tonight, working out what everything does, really like it and will be testing it out tomorrow.

What I can't get used to is how the viewfinder doesn't change when focusing like a DSLR would... obviously. The EVF does though so I may use that for a while.
