In a pub....a piece of the M25 is talking to a piece of the M1....each were saying they were tougher and harder than the other......all of a sudden...a piece of green tarmac enters the pub...the piece of M25 and M1 hide under a table. The green tarmac walks up to the bar and orders a pint and a packet of peanuts.......drinks up, finishes the peanuts and leaves the pub. The piece of M25 and M1 climb out from under the table and sit down again. the barman says.......'thought you two were hard and tough...why did you hide?'.......they replied 'did you see who it was? He is a cycle-path!'

If you chop the grips they go from being 'Oury' to 'Our' grips? Thereby becoming grips of the people.
I see thru your cunning commie plot!
No this is a fascist plot you have uncovered...as you have removed a letter from the RIGHT of the word OURY....if it was a communist [commie is so McCarthyist]...one would remove the O....making Ury...close to the Russian name of the Soviet hero of space travel...Yuri Gagarin!
Flickwg......thank you comrade for your help ....cheers

declare the bar end an "enemy of the people" and a "Right-Trotskyeyte wrecker", kick it out of the Politburo, hand its case over to the NKVD, have Yezhov brutalize it in prison, then have it shot, and its family sent to the Gulag. repeat un-till we reach workers utopia.
This is a Stalinist line and is unacceptable!.....workers utopia will only be achieved through democracy and respect for the individual......

What is the best way to trim a set of these grips to accept a set of bar-ends. Suggestions i have received are to use a hot knife or put the grips on the bars and then tap the handlebar on a hard surface [gently] with the grip facing downwards, thus removing the end of the grip. Are either of these good methods or is there a better way to execute this manoeuvre ? Please advise.....thanks comrades.

No.I asked and was told NO...but politely...if you want Paul drop outs then you have to go for a custom build...That is where it gets complicated and potentially more expensive. Custom build is £450 plus £19 for postage...at the moment there is such a back log of work that they are not taking any more custom builds for the moment...when they do...you MUST go up to Leeds for a measurement session...that has to be added to the cost of the frame..OFP...No need to visit Leeds! .Then there is a waiting time of AT LEAST 6 months for a custom build...however on a custom build...you can choose what tubing at added cost.....also straight or compact geometry...Paul trackends....about £35ish....OFP...631 main tubes all the rest is 525 and the forks are CrMo.....according to BJ...standard forks even if you want 953..I had the forks chromed and that added an extra 5 weeks...Hope this answers your question.....When i get my camera working...i will put a pic of my new BJ on the site.
-
My experience was very god....I always spoke to a chapcalled Darryll....nice as pie.....OTP but took 11 weeks because i had the forks chromed but they fitted my own BB free of charge. Daryll told me that for the next few months they were not doing any custom frames. Only prob with Dave Yates, Roberts, Argos etc is cost.....if you have the money c£700 and upwards....fine but BJ OFP is £345.....delivery without chrome c6 weeks......made on a proper jig to your spec [to a limited extent...1/2'' increments and a choice of mudguard eyes or not]....full range of colours and a five year guarantee.......an alternative is Steve Goff also well reknowned but in Skelmersdale near Liverpool...he got a mention in Cycling Plus frame builders article 2 months ago...can look him up on the web. But based on my experience, i would happily recommend BJ.
-
Give them a call and ask for Daryll....lovely bloke not a BLB surly type...they want a £200 deposit..and the rest before they post it to you...lovely paint job and really carefully wrapped up..tell you mine looks brilliant.....i even sent the frame builder a card to say thank you......it is not just a frame but a work of art!

Is the KMC 710SL masterlink 'safe' to use on a fixie or should it be ditched? I do not go off road or go 'brakeless' neither do i live in the urban jungle, country roads mainly with the occasional pothole.
If it is to be ditched, then what? I ask because the rivets look difficult to remove, so any suggestions on the best way to join the chain together, safely? If I need a chain tool, which one is best for this particular chain?
Tell my wife that!
