pajamas, your (dry) humour and slightly disturbing commitment to a point of honour have kept me rather amused, though it's a shame it all had to turn a bit negative. I'm looking forward to getting back to SL beers to get the comedy first hand once more! Don't know DHSE1 (unless the alias is someone I do know) but I can vouch for your adversary as a generally pretty damn decent sort of bloke, even if you have provoked his irate side...hope it all ends in peace!

It was raining, I braked on wet granite, epic fall :)
My first fall was after naming my bike "Prince Noir" (black prince), jaygee told me "what do you expect giving your bike the name of the devil" so last weekend I renamed my bike "the little alpaca", I guess it didn't like it either or was it bad luck renaming the bike?
how are your horse-riding skills pajamas?
Sorry to hear about the crash VV. Were you descending a scottish singletrack - I haven't seen much granite round these here parts?! I think your main mistake was not naming your bike 'Vince Noir' - although then you would have had to dress it in clashing corduroy frame pads.

is it just me or do you some people lose all their common sense when they mount a cycle? I see crazy stuff like people wearing gloves when it's sunny and way to many layers.I wanna ask them what they're thinking and tell them that they're only riding to work - not going on an expedition.
Is 'you some' a form of colloquial collective address as in 'y'all'? The inference being that most fixed riders wear gloves when the weather is sunny and dress overcautiously? If so, that's a pretty serious charge, and may require defending via duel - preferably wearing altura string-backed mitts.

This has been sitting outside Camberwell College of Art for a week or so, I believe it's a graduating student's work - there's a video inside of it being ridden down buslanes - powered by 2 people running in the hamster wheel!
I'm not sure of the student's name or I'd credit them - if it's yours, please let us know! -

Mine arrived yesterday (still working out how postie got that jiffy bag through our tiny letterbox!) - the ts are great. Thanks VB and everyone involved in the design/making of these - definitely appreciated this end. I'll watch out for when the spares are released as should have ordered more than one - doh!

Looks like rubber bungs in the BB and you're ready to go, I'll give Steve at Armourtex a call anyways... I've gotta figure out how to take my brake lever and calipers apart, pretty sure it's gonna end in tears... ;)
Hey, no one said stealth bikin was gonna be easy!
I've got to find a BB tool that fits too.

@ pkmpirat: Armourtex black run, YES!
If the black run is matt, count me in.
Armourtex black run is definitely ON and will be MATT! I'm looking at end of next week or thereabouts - my studio is v nearby the place so I am happy to collect bits and take them in - unless there's frames in which case you may have to bring to me somehow jol.
Does anyone know if they really do mask the BBs etc. for you or is it best to do yourself first? -

Advice needed - am thinking of bidding on this as want to build up a beater - am a bit worried that it is still on min bid - is it one to avoid like the plague? Are the dropouts a problem for conversion?

Of course all that could be incidental, and your real recovery due to the miraculous healing powers of a hand-built, independently traded fgb ;-)
