The Islington Gazette doesn't mention a rider:
http://www.islingtongazette.co.uk/news/police_car_in_islington_road_smash_putting_two_officers_in_hospital_1_1707044A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “A marked police vehicle was involved in a road traffic collision at 12.55am in Essex Road at the junction with Halliford Street. Two police officers who were travelling in the vehicle have been taken to hospital. No other vehicle was involved in the collision. The car was answering an emergency call.”

My thoughts are with the rider's family.

Just saw the bad news on twitter:

Eye-witnesses report that the cyclist was knocked off his bike whilst crossing the bridge.

SE1 report: http://goo.gl/fb/NbROY
"A woman pedestrian was injured in a collision with a motorcyclist at the south end of London Bridge on Thursday morning." -
I went past around 8:45 and saw a woman being looked after by the ambulance, may have been a leg injury. A bicycle lay in the road close to her but could have been a helper's. @se1 on twitter reports a collision between a motorbike and a pedestrian.

Just saw this on the Southwark Cyclists mailing list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/southwarkcyclists/message/7407 > The victim was a friend of a friend. > A broken pelvis - which is a serious break - and can be life threatening, but she is stable.

A sad day, another report of a collision today:

[INDENT]The man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to West Middlesex Hospital after the collision with a car in St Margaret’s Road, Twickenham, at about 8am.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent one ambulance crew to the scene and staff treated one patient, a man reported to be in his 40s, for a neck injury.”

Fingers crossed for this cyclist and the other two injured today.
