You....... ride a sweet Moser - not sure if FG or SS. I........... drive a silver VW golf. I drove past you, gave you an appreciative thumbs up (you in bus lane, me in car lane). You gave me the middle finger. I hope this was merely a miscommunication. However if you are in the habit of 'fingering' random cars, you will get into a spot of bother sooner rather than later. Not a good advert for cyclists, who have a bad enough rep in Oxford.

Howdy - can anyone advise whether the condor pista linked below is a 'good deal' and what would be reasonable money for it. Also whether the 55cm size would suit 5' 8". i know these are noob questions but I am stuck at work with little time to search the forum at length.
it finishes at 15:45 so any help prior to then would be great.cheers

Howdy. I wondered whether anyone who is converting has a rear wheel with cassette which would suit an Edinburgh Bike Co-op 'courier race'. It is a 700c wheel and came with an 11-34 Shimano cassette I think. It is my missus's (?sp) bike and she erroneously thought that the local yoot could not undo a QR skewer. Anyway they did and she now has a unicycle!
Thanks in advance for any help. Unfortunately I don't think she'll fall for the 'just fix it' solution which had crossed my mind.Si
edit: 11-30 cassette - cheers

could be any number of things, unlikely to be ligaments in absence of a noticeable injury. Likewise cartilage.. but possible you could have some wear and tear to these if you played a lot of impact sports when younger. Also possible is early arthritis of the patellofemoral joint (kneecap/thigh bone joint). Steroid injections should be avoided unless you need temporary relief for a particular reason eg a race as they won't repair anything in particular. You may guess from my advice that I'm a doctor, but the bottom line is - see a specialist - best via your GP. Either a scan or arthroscopy will help diagnosis. Symptom relief with all the other services recommended above.
PM if you want any further advice.

Post number 2 - and a request already. I have a trusty Giant OCR road bike which is Alu with carbon front fork. From extensive searching of the forum I get the impression that this frame layout is not conducive to conversion to fixed, related to the vertical drop-outs.
Feel free to commence the lynching..... but could I also get some input about the cost (specificallY) of doing the conversion properly and whether to do it or not.
If it is going to end up with a sh1t fixed gear I would also like to know.Anyway, round up the posse - and thanks for all help in advance.
