A surly it is!
Looks like it comes with better components, especially as the difference is only $70.I think this is a better decision than building up one of these with deep v's on formula hubs.
http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=1084Does anyone know how easy it is to remove the decals on the Surly?

Don't wanna start another thread, so I thought I would follow on here.
I am gonna get a new Bike in the states when I move over there.
I am thinking either the Surly Steamroller for ~$650
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/BI310L00-Surly+Steamroller+Complete+Bicycle.aspx?sc=FRGLor a Bianchi Pista for $580
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/BI305L00-Bianchi+Pista+Frame+W+Free+Kit+07.aspx
Firstly is the OTP Steamroller better than the Pista, and if so how? Also, if it was, would it warrent the difference in price? Thanks

Thanks Motoko. That one looks really nice. But there is no way I can wait that long.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT AAAAAAAAAAARRRRG!
I've just phoned nearly every LBL and luckily London Fields Cycles have one and they're holding it for me.
Phew!Still bid on it, might be a nice upgrade. From my experience of having a 26.4 seatpost myself, no one really bids on them, so you might get a good price. The one I got was really nice and I think it was a fiver with shipping.

I did some looking around, and I'm going to try 2 get 2 pumps from Tesco
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-5179.aspx (like MisterK did).I did find though that it pays to shop around, because what I thought was a cheapish pump from Argos, is actually more than twice the price of an internet shop.

Amazing difference in prices. Sorry VanUden, that I didn't post this before your buy.
Are these actually going to get any pressure in your tires though? I'd worry they'd brake near 100psi

HA! Yeah forgot your into them too! I'd rather wear Nicks, Simod or HiTec than BAPE! ;-)
Nothing better than a free pair of BAPEs.
Got them from a buddy whos buddy work in the BAPE store in HK. If they are fake, well they are good ones. I prefer my Dunks, but they suck ass for cycling (too wide), so am sticking to converse and tigers for this clips malarky. With my second build for the states, I got some egg beaters c's and Adidas Cyclones.
Moving to the states in a month, so am working out how I am gonna take this with me.
Don't worry about the bike being on the door. It was for the photo, and other angle of the room would have shown the mess. I love my Godzilla poster which I found in my college common room. It came with some paper about a month ago.

those webbed rossins are vile.
and the frames above all appear to be fairly straightforward and drilled for a front brake. which makes them anything but a HHSB - which incidentally is a nauseating acronym, surely meaning 'horrible hipster spazz bike'.
The frames above are the Kilo TT, which are getting great reviews over on bikeforums.net. If I can find something equivalent but a little more track for $200, I am all for it!

All mediums in bamboo.
They don't have enough bamboo shirts to do that, but they'll give us all the ones they do have... which means we can do 90% of the airfix ones in bamboo, and I'll take cotton for the others just in case, but they're ordering bamboo ones too but that's dependent on Continental getting stock to them.
In that case if there are going to be Airfix in bamboo if I can get in that early 90%, otherwise Cotton is cool.
Thanks again VB

if anyone wants to do a large order count me in. is this velosteel model significantly better that a new sturmey archer or shimano?
these things are fairly rare so there are precisely no reviews anywhere on the internet. can get a sturmey archer off ebay at the moment but if they're shit and unreliable and this is the coaster brake daddy i'll hold out.If you want something now, go with a sturmey archer. Make sure you repack it with grease though, the horrible Taiwanese stuff looks about 50 years old, even though it is in a new hub. I am running one as an alternative back wheel, and it is great fun. Brakes are responsive, and if you want you can pull some mega skids. They are relatively cheap, so if something does go wrong, you can just change the inners, and not have to replace the whole wheel.

Just slightly too expensive
