Am I talking stupid?

For some reason I thought that track bikes didn't go up to very large sizes. Maybe I just was getting confused by the Panasonic and Bridgestone Japanese ones...

Slightly worried, because the guy selling it thinks the frame is 60cm. Which seems kinda big for a track bike. I just hope he measured from the bottom of the bb

I have now emigrated to the states and am looking at getting a bike. Does anyone know much about the KHS aerotrack?

I found one I can get on CL for about $300 (£150). It is a 1998 I think.

I have never heard of them, and was wondering if anyone knew anything. It looks like it comes with Sugino 75 cracks, which suggests a decent quality of components.

I have a B17 narrow and it is pretty nice.

I got a special ed. B17 for my soon to arrive steamroller, and am worried it's a little wide.

I ordered that exact set up a couple weeks ago from the states for combinded price of £50 and I sure hope they are compatible. They're getting sent to my address in the states. I think I got it from beyondbikes.com

I am suprised so many people are going with the IRO. I am pretty set on the Steamroller. Also I think some of the components for the IRO are dubious. I mean are Formula Hubs really better than Surly.

I guess it is becuse it is more of a track frame that the steamroller. It seems I was being sold a tarak bike, with lots of fun color options.

If anyone is interested I will send the guy an email and see if I can get a group buy discount. The guy is based in Philly (Bell's Bikes), and is happy to ship to the UK. I spoke to him on the phone, and he seemed pretty cool, so might be willing to ship it s a gift. Or even better used personal artefacts.

Let me know how many people are interested and I'll get you a price.

But where is the fun in that? I already got a Thomson Seatpost and Stem and some bars to go with the Surly.

I think that the build quality of the Surly will be better with better components that the Weinmann on Formulas.

I was talking to a Wheel Builder about getting a set of phils laced on Deep Vs. In the weeks I was waiting for a reply I decided that I was gonna get a Surly Steamroller.

So yesterday I got an email asking if I was still interested, and I said no thanks I'm gonna get the OTP Surly.

You're right! JIS. Guess I was getting my hopes on my parts bin crankset. I am not so good at reading upside down logos it seems.

Why do I have to have a set of old 118 NJS SR cranks. Never gonna find a 1/8th chain ring to fit.

the other reason is I don't have a bike that is suitable yet.
The moser i rode home on has had to have some major adjustments done to it, and other than that I have my speedway bike.
hopefully I'll have a bike by 10th week :(
