Machine.....lordy......talking to an ex courier my fwend. 1000 miles a month, waking hearbeat was like 5 or something and I worked through the winter, hailstones as big as cats. I used to cycle up Gas hill as a short cut! +oh and clocked 38 on duke st.
Pissed dude would be so over this ride like a vultures tongue on a a babies corpse...... -

Machine don't fret I have been on some beaut rides with the facebook NFG dudes. I'll send out a furry snarble call on FB and see what I get back. If I was in NR3 I'd be up for this...furreal. If nothing happens for awhile we can always go to a London for a compass ride..I went to Bridges ride no 5 last year and it was A class.

Thats me p u p. Snarble has just returned from his travels. Hong kong? pfffft. Try Hanoi or Phnom Penh, no rules in these cities. Only saw 1 fixed; in Bangkok. Standard siam hipster clone buzzing around with a sleek blue frame with drops (bs) Let me know when you're back Pista, my flatmates are transforming our shed into a fixed gear production line...
Wowzersteed is silverish, purple rear wheel and quite a pink front tyre. -

Fur real, I keeeeed, I keeeeeed you little hip. We come in all shapes and sizes it's true. I mentioned F&B brakes purely as identifiable factors, rather than a fixed quip.

May kate turn me into a rug if I lie..... -
Jickstumps, dude fixed is spin to win. Fairplay if you are spinning out all the time 42/16, but high cadence is the name of the game- with a 90 rpm= 19.something miles an hour which is fine for me. Also consider your pedal stroke: applying power in the downstroke, pulling back with the ankle(like scraping snable droppings off your shoe) then pulling up (best used with cleats) then relaxing the leg at the top of the stroke and repeat...
In the words of mad max " I'll see you on the road". -
Spotted dude on green frame; uea drive incline, this morning. You were powering past some old coyote on a hybrid, and we traded biker nods.
I had just brushed death with my fur a few minutes before, as a green hyundai driver had objected to my riding style-popping his horn vigoursly (I had Basteroids error del disco on my Seinheisers so his audio complaint went void). Realising the futility of his metallic penis he then pulled across the road to disable/kill the Snarb. I got quite tearfull, it was like being back in London..... -
A while back I went all Richard Long and penned the NFG route:

Possible Polo court location?
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2486865Doig I have a flipflop hub but the fixed side threads are stripped, but if you know a friendly welder(sculpture?)I have a 16T cog you could weld on to go fixed.

Hmmm cycle republic, I brought my continental ultra from them the other day, lasting a lot longer than the hardcase I had on previously- although I've had more punctures.
My lBS is streetlife, where I regurarly indulge my fixed mentatlity. 3 or so dudes in there are single speed, Tim was saying he was sub 5hrs in the Norwich 100. HA do you know Russel then? He was a motorcycle/cycle courier for a couple of years for gofers. Big big guy with a roguish air, currently destroys mountain bikes. +Sparky look out for the guy around Earlham Rd, classic case of all the gear no idea. He's got the little hat, customised old roadster, cut shorts and but no speed. Muhahahahahahaar

Well used to be a courier(Gofers in Norwich) and my HB on waking, I'm sure once I counted it at 38. Was doing a 1000m a month, never used to sweat. But didn't really drink much water during the day so maybbee that's an explanation...+I was 22. As I shudder to discover that max heartbeat is 220-age that makes me a few beats slower now- sorry got a bit of a turning 30 complexia.
Heh didn't mean to be a FG snob, but yes I have swobo(the original BLB's wannabe) and I do(try) to ride brakeless, but my ratio is a measly 42/16. My steed came with a 48 ring, but I had to downscale-I have to see eye to eye with Earlham Rd every day. So respect to your 49.
Defintely up for a ride though. Once me and my bike are sorted I'll let you know, then I can start stocking up on wholewheat pasta. You know about the Norwich fixed gear facebook page? You can view it without having a profile: http://en-gb.facebook.com/group.php?gid=21389565707
Pulled this well fit swedish bird who had drawn a moustache on her face, but she crushed ma heart. Also after traveling have grown face hair and wear women's fleeces.
