Ahoy!
I need (desperately) a Brooks saddle, preferrably black, and some Time pedals (nothing too fancy needed). I can pick up this weekend. I'm based Stoke Newington but can run around a bit if necessary.
Also, wonder if anyone has some spare new Time cleats kicking around? Damn things are such an expense.
I* may* not have a chance to check this thread until tomorrow morning, but please do PM and I'll get back to you then at the latest.
Thanks,
Alex

Hey, managed to snap the rails on my Brooks. I know, I know, I didn't know it was possible either. A chorus of surprise will not be heard from anyone who knows my history with bikes.
I may have sourced a replacement but really want to end up on a Brooks.
Based in Manor House area, but can travel and flexible time-wise over the weekend. Any offers?

Going to have to shift my SIDIs then, which are a tad too small. They're fairly good nick, some slight scuffing on the tread and the odd minor scratch, judge for yourself from the pictures.
Bought them last year but have been mostly sitting in the front room (both me and the shoes). SIDI Dominator, size 45.5, uncleated, no box. Paid £160something for them, selling them for £65, I'll knock a fiver off to a courier. Based in Manor House, can deliver within reason.
Gutted to lose them.

Hope this link for pics works:
Thanks, Alex

Hey. I've been running a Lemond Fillmore for about a year now, picked it up second-hand and am finding it really hard to determine the factory BB. All I know is that it's an external BB, with Bonty GXP crankset. Research shows it could be a Tru-Vativ Giga X-Pipe bottom bracket but I'm just not sure.
The outer shell (?) of the BB has been coming loose recently, which may tie in to the knocking sound per rev I've been getting, to the point where I could actually tighten it by hand. I'm going back to work as a messenger in the next few days and all this worries me somewhat. Anyone think they could have the right tool to tighten it up? I'll provide beer and/or whatever. Tonight or tomorrow night would be ideal. Am Manor House way but will ride anywhere.
Cheers!

I can only trackstand on one side so far, find out what side feels natural before you start learning. Like everyone else says, point your wheel the same direction as the forward foot. My little tip is: when TSing at the lights, if you roll straight into TS you may find yourself pointing in the wrong direction. I TS with left foot forward, so I first ride to the right a little bit and then roll left into TS, so it sorta evens out.
I find the best way to imagine it is maintaining a circular feel. You're just rolling back and forth in a small section of a circle. Keep pedalling forwards/backwards with your wheel at that angle and you'll ride in a circle. This helps, somehow. Also try to be aware of your surroundings, a beginner will tend to stare at the front wheel.
Good luck from a fellow amateur.

Hi fromemory
Sorry about your bike, had mine niked on friday (post with pic to follow)
I was quicky havin' a look at this thread before posting details of my beloved stolen fixie and I must say although mine was nowhere to be seen there was a bike at bricklane market this morning that looked just like yours!!
Don't get too excited tho...I noticed it 'cause it had two huge locks and a bunch of asbo yufs hanging right by it...
Good luck and keep looking on gumtree as well, a few stole ones have popped up there.
GaiaOww... the thought of the possibility of my bike being at BL Market pains me to the bone. It was savage, there was a gig which I absolutely had to play that very morning (squat party in Hammersmith, needed the cash) and I couldn't be in both places at the same time. I really hope that whoever ends up with my beautiful beast respects it big-time. I've bought another Etape now, and a Kryptonite NY lock to secure the deal. Hard times in the city... thanks for listening and looking out people :)
