I walked out of Kings Cross station to witness the scene only minutes after the accident. I felt physically shocked and shaken. I still do. So tragic.

Lovely. It is almost as if he is playing it as an instrument.

I've been living in Bristol for work and found lots of second-hand community-oriented bikey groups.
Here are some alternatives for getting a bike in Bristol:

• The Bristol Bike Project is a non-profit that sells refurbished bikes to the public on Fridays
  
• Jake's bikes is a highly locally recommended bike shop that sells and repairs second hand bikes
  
• Bike Back is a recycled bike project (in collab with local prison) that sell bikes in centre of the city every few months
  

I am envious of anyone newly discovering TAL. I have listened to all of them, and some many times. Brilliant stuff. The Moth is also pretty amazing for story telling - http://themoth.org/

MJS110 - Those pics look like the slow down lap because we hurtled over that line. I remember having trouble pulling up in time for the corner, but nice capture anyway.
Exhausting.... oh yeah. But I'd do it again tomorrow : )

Anyone here at the finishing line or have any pics of Charlotte and I crossing the line for the endurance race? I thought I was a nose ahead but the results have Charlotte coming in first. It was a great race. I would love to know/see how close we were.

I had a brilliant night. The crowd support was immense. Every time I came round the top corner of the endurance race and thought I had nothing left, the cheers and the banging on the fences gave me so much more energy than I thought possible. I was struggling for breath yet grinning like a mad woman. I loved it. I was so relieved there was no penny carnage. We all had visions of a penny pileup on that first corner. It was a shocker in the sprint as it was the first time any of us had hit it at speed. I remember seeing spectator's faces at the far end of the corner "She is not going to make it" which was fair because I am pretty sure my face was saying "I am not going to make it". But I did, and the adrenaline was something else. Massive thanks to everyone who attended and raced and cheered and made it an extraordinary experience.

Yep, and I'm not nervous. Why would I be nervous. I'm only racing someone's 120 year old ordinary. Nope, not nervous at all.
