Just had my brown Brooks Team Pro Alpe D'Huez saddle stolen.
Thieves easily cut through the kryptonite cable lock but either didn't want to or couldn't remove the 2 x Kryptonite Evolution locks on the rest of the bike. It was parked outside the Barbican. Kind of ruined my ride home after 5 amazing hours of Philip Glass opera : (
I bought it second hand from the forum last year. This is it:

It has an identifiable scratch on the corner and slight rub on the nose.
Hopefully it pops up somewhere.....

I did this cycle yesterday, using the suggested route. It was really nice (give or take a few small wrong turns that we made). So, I'm happy to help lead bits of the ride on Saturday too if needed - at least to point out where not to go and/or how to get back on track : ) Depending on timing, I'm also interested in riding back rather than catching the train.

also I have 5 centuries lined up over the next 6 saturdays if anyone is bored, though I've decided I disapprove of talking about non-afterworker rides in the afterworker thread, so you will have to use detective work to find out the details.
Sounds good. I suddenly have saturday's free and would love some long rides.

I personally see women’s rides as giving women some space…. space to ride with other women (as a majority, not a minority which is so often the case), to organize rides, to lead rides and to learn to lead rides….. Offers to help are great and all that but if there is no space, then there are no opportunities to fill it.
Poots - your idea of the ride leader deciding the rules is probably a good one. That way, each to their own and we can all try out different things....

My only objection to a guy leading is that my interpretation of a women's ride is something that's very much controlled by women and I think having a man on the front diminishes that slightly. .
I agree and there seems to be quite a few of us in the group who have now offered to lead, follow up, go on recce rides, read maps etc. I'll add myself to the list too.
