That’s frustrating, are you tracking any body measurements, I find between weight, chest and waist there’s always something making an improvement if I’m doing the right things even if the weight doesn’t move for a bit…
Progress is going better than expected here, my general approach is aim for 10k step a day, high intensity cardio and 3x weights per week, plus a relatively low calorie/carb diet and no drinking at home. Progress since I turned 40 on 16/08:
Weight 87.8kg > 82.4
Chest 106cm > 102
Waist 96cm> 89Still a long way to go back to where I was in 21/22 but determined to get back to mid 70s, perfectly prepared for this progress to slow, and have the occasional drinking outside of home thing to look forward to!

Finally clicked into being motivated to lose weight end of August, had a bit of a wobble end of last week/weekend with a night out and then probably overdoing it on the weekend exercise and food wise. Back on track now, scales have stalled since last week, but the good old chest, waist and thigh measurements all heading in the right direction…

Felt/USA tried it for 2016, the idea is that it’s travelling slower on the inside of the track and as drag increases with speed there’s a marginal gain from it, it makes sense logically, but I’m not sure why it didn’t take on, suspect it’s in part because all drivetrain parts then become proprietary and it’s expensive to develop the best wheel/bb/chainset/cog etc… possibly also because the drivetrain is so noisy because of feet the benefit isn’t big enough…

I’d say it depends on what your targets are for both, it definitely possible to run a marathon as part of 70.3 training, you probably lose 2 weeks of training to it and another few are sub optimal and equally if you go for optimal training for a marathon you’ll be fit enough to do a half decent 70.3 2-3 months later…
I worked with Chris for 3 years and in that time set 5k/10k/half and full marathon pbs plus pbs at 70.3 and full distance tri… at different times but all within that time frame…

I used a vango apex 200, it’s been designed to strap onto handlebars and while no super lightweight at ~2kg it isn’t heavy, is easy to pitch/pack up and had plenty of room for me and doggo in, the porch had enough for a 60l bag and boots… probably summer only as I wouldn’t want to spend ages in there in daylight as you can’t fully sit up, it felt specious enough! Can’t wait for the next opportunity to use it!

Some of it may be the angle of the photo but you are very far back behind the bb at the moment which is limiting how low you can get on the bike, I’d look at seeing how far forward you can get on your saddle and then put a longer stem on to keep the body length. You could also cut the end of your base bars off where they are to curve back upwards again mostly for style points but also you’ll save 30g or so and reduce the temptation to be in the base bars as they’ll feel less locked in than the aero bars.
Re tyres buy whatever ranks lowest on the rolling resistance website. Unless you want to ride lots then maybe look at Vitoria corsa that are probably a bit tougher!

Been reading this thread for a few weeks in prep for a bit of wild camping on the southwest coast path so thanks for the advice contained above!
Overall very successful, my planned sleep spot had been taken by someone else, but found another epic spot a few km further on, having practiced outing tent up and down a couple of times was handy, there wasn’t much I didn’t use (other than waterproofs…yay!) and the only thing I would have liked was something to wash up with so I could have had a second cup of coffee after this mornings porridge!
Went with my senior citizen dog, we didn’t love the styles as she can’t manage those any more so I had to carry her over, but otherwise a perfect trip!

Still a bit confused by babboe, our curve is second hand, and I’ve replaced the groupset on it. So not sure if we’d even qualify for the recall, but at the moment we are still stuck on “do not ride” which is just not possible as getting to school is a nightmare without it… so I’m just taking the box off every week and having a good clean/ look at it….

Any tips for adjusting 2 speed bromptons, I’ve resorted to replacing the pusher and jockey wheels (the pusher was about 50% work and one of the jockey wheels was broken) (about 100 miles after the chain, cogs and chairing) but despite setting it to just not touching the inside in the big cog and the outside in the little cog it still isn’t that keen to shift smoothly… mildly infuriating… I do have the parts to swap the cables and other gear bits but what I’ve read suggests that should be a last resort…

I really like them, as a training shoe, they have enough of the squash of the vapour/alpha, and he plastic plate gives enough firmness so they don’t feel like running in complete pillows like other the non plated pebax shoes I’ve tried… but I’m not the best to comment on longevity as I’m pleased if any shoe lasts me 400 road kms, I don’t know what I do to shoes but that’s life.
They more than last that, and it was the upped that went on the last pair, current pair are at a couple of 100km in and looking fresh still…
