Thanks guys, Im pretty pleased with it to be honest, i was thinking white grips but then went with the tape instead, she can always change it... Also I would ideally put gaurds on it, like the old fashioned ones, but..But have run out of money (serously).... Its far to small for me but rode it round the block the other day and its so smooth....

Yep its the origonal bottem bracket the french one, Paul at Kiwi cleaned it up added new Bb etc... I reckon she will probably ride it once in a while (gggrrrrr) but yep single speed... I promised as a present (she hasent got it yet) that I would make her a bike (she has a brompton that as she travels accross the globe all the time she takes with her) for her birthday and the only spec she had was she wanted a peugeot as its what her dad used to ride... So thanks to Jon got a small frame, also I think thats a pretty nice idea..
So thats it.. (im not kdding myself I needed help) but im glad with the outcome..

Hi folks, bought it of wiggle for 15 quid or so plus postage, kind of want to get the 15 quid back or nearest offer, its like the one on the Plug only girls, and the metal bits are in pale blue...

Hi Folks I am making my GF a bike and got a brand new Charge Saddle in brown, didnt realize that the runners or whatever the metal bits are are pale blue rather than silver, its nice but not quite right, Has anyone got a girls brookes in brown/tan/honey to sell or Ill part exchange the Charge one, here the link to itt, from Wiggle...

Just went to condor,they have one albeit with there logo on but its really like the charge plug tape, and at £7.50...

I don’t really understand this thread, or rather where it’s going…
I am sure every one of us has had bad service in a shop and gone “Jeez, if I ran X@#%%:X! I would have at least given it a smile, and made more of an effort”..

I have never been to BC but having been on here a while I have got the firm impression it’s a great bike shop, and I don’t reckon anyone else exploring this forum would think any different, but Me had a bad experience, and admittedly it does sound lame, his service. (Regarding his BB)

But as someone else mentioned earlier it is similar to restaurant reviews, ok his soup was cold, and yes he should have said said.. “ Hey waiter my soup….etc”

But this is a forum about single speed and fixed gear bicycles in London, and therefore its pretty obvious that bicycle shops are to be mentioned regularly (as they are) I cant see how a well known and loved (on this forum )business is going to really suffer from this, in fact from a business (of which I know nothing whatsoever) point if view, maybe its good?

So I want to build up a single speed bike for my GF, she is about 5ft8" ish, and really wants a peugeot, as its what her father used to ride, which I guess is quite sweet, anyway can anyone help?

I have to be honest a while back I went with a friend to see those bikes and really was not impressed at all, just everything seemed a bit wrong... Maybe they are better now... Biut for that money I am sure there are other good options...H
