Rider down, at this junction at approx 9am (when I rode past). Did not see what happened. Bike on the pavement, Boots lorry stopped, roads closed, and paramedics/police on the scene. Hoping for good news.

Morning TB, I was caught out both times, in my own world, good to see you.

A furious attempt to catch JAMIE after he sailed past on Jamaica while I was stopped at the lights on Deptford Church St (which would have been more furious had I not had to stop for EVERY light) came good just before Tooley St, where he turned off. Rats. Good to see you though!

If you are a strong swimmer, get to the front of your wave on the sea front, you run into the sea from the waters edge, you dont want to be swimming round or over people. If you arent very confident, start at the back or the side and take your time, remember sight points and the course.

Running back up the beach from the swim can be a painful, the beach is stoney and the carpet is a touch rubbish, so be prepared for a bit of hobbling.

Remember where you are in transition, a bright towel can help you spot your place in a large area with a lot of other similar looking equipment. Think about where you are going from when you unrack your bike. Dont panic, take your time.

Take it easy on the bike course, the turns are tight, keep an eye out for anyone undertaking you, or approaching the cone too quick. One of the turns is also the join point from Transition so be careful of others approaching the cycle course.

The run is simple and usually plenty of people to shout you on, use the first lap to get into your stride, and find your running legs and press on from there. Enjoy.
