Cool I'm in da Yard init river side of the road. If you need anything or want to meet up to ride to any of the event give me a message, nice to have another Woolwich boy.
When I was living in Plumbstead I would see some guy heading further out towards Bostall hill guy in his 40s I'd say you?.
Ill take you up on that Tommy, would have gone along to a few rides, but I can always find excuses not to go on my own and introduce myself....
This is the thread I was ref to: http://www.londonfgss.com/thread2774-4.html -
Not me, I did used to head that way, but I just turned 30 and look 21 still.....Think theres a night ride in sept (or end of Aug, need to check the thread), if you go Ill tag on if you dont mind?

Where were you? I am guessing I was going over the cross roads by Selco? Hate those road works that are there at the moment. Where do you live, another east Greenwich man?
I was in my sisters car, spotted you from the Lookalikes thread, cause I thought it was the scottish comedian bloke on a bike ;-)
You was just along from the BP garage, by the pedestrian crossing, looking across at a couple of cars getting a bit close.
Yeah, I call it East Greenwich or West Bexley....but its Woolwich, end of Tom Cribb Road, buddy. -

Hi CV, Def get some sort of isotonic/sports drinks and start using them in your training now. This is really tough event. You run the risk of cramping / bonking or both without the right nutrition. I use SIS Go, it seems to work for me, but maybe try a few and see which one is good for you. Good luck and enjoy it, its a great event. - J

Hi Runtime,
My experiance of Cyclescheme.co.uk is positive for sure. I used them to get a Planet-X bike. My firm uses CS.co.uk anyhow, but I think from looking around, that this is the most flexible scheme in terms of outlets.
As a note to PX, I wanted my bike asap so they let me pay on my Credit Card and then once my voucher turned up, they refunded my card.
Dont think you will go wrong with this particular scheme. -

Thanks a million for all the replies and info...not been about for a few days and just seen them. Now its just a choice. anything from Cavendish would be easy to get hold of, no postage / tax etc. BUT, Pistanators Viavlo is the business....
Ill have a bit more thought and try and get to South East drinks...and Ill be on my trusty Langster.
Thanks again, I dont often post but as per many others, I am an avid reader of the site. -
Hi all, thinking about an upgrade, bought a langster about 2-3 years ago and fancy something else now. I like Vivalo frames but not sure where to get one, have searched and cant see anything, looking also at IRO, and also I like the Bianchi Pista frame. Are Vivalo frames available new? If not, then anyone recommend IRO against a pista? Also, can anyone just roll up to East / West / Snow or SE drinks? Cheers
