He's also a conservative. That's a deal breaker for many people.
He reminds me of former mayor of Toronto Mel Lastman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Lastman#Controversies), but crazier (albeit also funnier).

Hey,
I'd really like to get involved as well! Moving to Hackney imminently and have 2 frames that need building. Kiwi Paul built my first one, but i would really like to be able to put something together myself. I was gonna ask if there's a drop-in workshop or anything east, could this be the answer?
Do you guys know of any classes to learn more about putting bikes together?
They were handing out cards for www.cycletraining.co.uk at CM yesterday. Not sure if it's any good. If you're in Ealing they say you can do the course for 5 quid (rather than 60).

Nope. But I was by far not the latest. And we ended up sitting outside all night, so I could have brought my bike (and therefore have been on time) which, plus the fact I saw CM go by as I was on my way to the restaurant (so I could have stayed with them), was a bit annoying. But I quickly drowned my sorrows in beer.

Dolan do a 'Kadet' Track frame in 45.
To be honest, I think you're looking at a 45-50 cm frame minimum.
41 will be too small (16 inches).
Her inside leg is long too, so go for the high end of that range.Yeah, and if I go to the upper range, I could probably get away with using it as my pub bike ;) And of course, a 50 is going to be way easier to find.

Hey Horatio, Spotted you on Stamford Street last night... I was getting drunk at the Mad Hatter and shouted Arrospok as you went past, you looked puzzled or maybe just a bit scared... ;)
That must have been on my way to CM. I was overall puzzled. I spend so little time on the South Bank that I have no clue where anything is unless I'm looking at it from across the river.
Spotted and chatted with mikec during CM, as well as a couple of other people whose names I didn't catch. Nice to meet everyone!

So I've been inspired by all my lurking, and I'm going to build a bike (up to this point, the most complicated thing I've done is grease the bearings in a Dura Ace track hub - and the second time I tried to do it my chain whip broke, which scared the shit out of me [then the wheels were stolen]). So let me ask, where is the best place to get a cheap (used or not) frame? Ebay? I'm looking for something that could make an SS or FG for a girl of 5'3"/5'4" (about 1.6m) with a 30.5" inside leg length. I think her last frame (touring) was 16" (41cm), but this web page says she could ride pretty much any size (41-51cm!)?? Anybody have anything kicking around?
I'm gonna be building my first bike from scratch, so I'll also need everything else as well, but nothing fancy. If someone has a tonne of parts kicking around that would work well, let me know and we'll talk.

Platini You might like this...
It's always best when the grammar goes a bit wonky:
COULD IMMIGRANTS INFECT BRITISH JUSTICE WITH AIDS?
DO PAEDOPHILES GIVE THE MEMORY OF DIANA CANCER?

Yeah, comparing the two, frame looks identical. I'm not sure if that's a secret though? Don't want to start any shit. I'm quite happy with what I've got! In fact, if it is an IRO, at least I know what it is.
Anyway, from looking around, price seems to be about right (before I added extra stuff to it). Of course it's always cheaper to do that stuff yourself but, meh.

This is unlikely, but - I was just coming up the stairs of my building with my bike in arm, and girlfriend in tow. Some guy was coming down sans bike but also with girlfriend in tow. I had to get out of the way to let them down. I thought he had said "lots of traffic down the stairs" but my girlfriend said he said "my trackie is down stairs" (where two bikes have been stolen from since I've moved here!). Perhaps you're on here, and I can say, I'm not a dick who ignored you, just misheard you?

That's not working for me? It did the first time, but unlike the "New Posts" button did, it doesn't refresh every time I hit it. The icons show that I've read stuff, but that includes stuff above and below the "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit or since forums have been marked read."
