I don't get it, I thought 531 wasn't available any more...
There's still lots of tubing out there. I understand it's not being produced but plenty of frame makers have a stock of tubes.
For similar prices to the above you can get a fully custom frame built in 531 by these guys:

Awful website but nice frames, imo (but have owner's bias)

It was the £45 build cost per wheel that generated the really high price, not even BLB have the audacity to charge that much.
trevorx you've done well to get them at that price mate, they'll last a good while.
Not everyone could build a wheel themselves dogsballs. Fool that I am paid £12 to condors to replace a miserly 50p spoke last week. I'll have to go to wheel build school.

shall we all draft a group reply, and all send it back, en mass?
something that makes the point - ' yes, we are aware she has a right to her view, it would just be nice her view weren't quite so bigoted, moronic and downright vindictive.'
I wrote a weak reply that you lot can improve on:
This is a pathetic response which does not address any of the points I raised.
Joanne Good seemed completely unconcerned about accidents that cyclists have which are purely the fault of motorists and not illegal practises on the part of cyclists. For example, on the show that I complained about, a lorry driver described how he was performing an over taking manoeuvre on a round about, thus causing serious injury to a cyclists. It is illegal to overtake in round abouts. Still, JoAnne seemed to indicate that the injury to the cyclists was entirely their fault. JoAnne is entitled to her views but when her view is to encourage dangerous driving practises, she needs to be put on a bike and find out what life is like for herself.
love, JB

I particularly like this bike, might have to go look at it. My size and all. Am I mad?

You know the expression 'winging pom'? I've NEVER heard a wingier lot than the bloody convicts... EPIC FACT!
Winging Poms. Lovely expression, that. I do cringe a bit when I hear my countrymen winge about the food and the weather over here. If you don't like it over here, go home you goddam convict!
I'd post an aussie flag at this point, but it's dominated by the union jack, epic fail.

I had you down on my mental layout as 'Looks a bit like JIm Carey but with better bike and carbon forks'.
Bad luck about the job, good luck on the beach ! :)
Ah fuck Tynan. Now you've started the Jim Carey jokes, it's all over for me. I might just have to top myself. Gotta get to that beach and pretend the JC jokes never happened.

Really sorry to hear you've lost your job JB; it's beginning to hit hard everywhere. Thanks again.
No - please. I was just pointing out the irony of the financial crisis impact. I'm getting out of the stress, going to the beach and taking it easy. Then I might go to Vietnam. They have beaches there. I might go to Cambodia (there's beaches there too). It's all good.
On the ebay finds thread, have a look
