been out for a long walk with my gx1 today and i'm growing increasingly frustrated with it. Keep missing shots i know wouldn't be a problem with my 5d. Sure, it's a lot smaller and therefor with me more, but missing shots sucks.
I know this one is up to me, but my 5d i usually had on full manual as it has two dials for aperture + shutter speed. The gx1 has only one though, so it's mostly in aperture priority, but for some reason my head then turns off a little bit and i forgot to set aperture carefully. + i miss the short depth of field of a good lens on the 5d.
Would an x-e1 be worth the extra monies? Would be a good coupla hundred on top of what i'd get for the gx1.
Or maybe it's time to get a good neg scanner and go 100% film

I'm thinking of buying a Sony Nex 5 for £175 with a 16mm pancake lens. About the price what do you think? and its in really good condition with the box aswell! Whats your views on this camera does anyone have one, and if so could you show me some shots as well with that lens preferably?
Thanks!
Good camera, but if you intend to buy any other lenses then bad choice as Sony has a limited and chunky choice of lenses.
Saying that, if you're sticking to a single prime lens, seems like a good deal.

So I'm starting a side project which requires a wordpress developer and also someone who can make a custom BigCartel e-commerce site.
I'm in process of designing it and need help from the developer before I go any further. Main site won't have multiple pages, just single landing page (with links) and BigCartel site will have a singular page with product pages.
Small budget not massive....

Testing the water to see if there's any interest.
Panasonic Lumix G X VARIO PZ X14-42mm F3.5-5.6 (H-PS14042).
Fits all Olympus and Panasonic micro 4/3's including. GF1 and EP1.
This is the compact 14-42 which is the same depth as the 20mm when closed. It came with my GX1 kit but I much prefer prime lens so sticking to a 14mm f2.5 Panny lens.
Only used in the back garden to test it out, not taken more then 10 shots. Immaculate yadda yadda yadda.
250 notes. Dust in pictures also supplied. Collected from Farringdon or posted

Is it worth me paying the extra for the GX1 or would a secondhand GF1 be equally good?
I'd go for a GX1. Link below gives comparison between the two.

The pana 14mm is great. I've tried both and bought the 14mm for my GX1. Slightly slower on the autofocus but the wide angle is great and the size is ridiculously small. You can find one on eBay for circa £115.
I'm after a wide angle lens for my GX1. Really like the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 I already have, so it's easy to think that the Pana 14mm f2.5 should be a good option?

Is it so, or does anyone have any other recommendations?

Why can't we have a cool prime minister. We can't get anything nice.
