Hi retro -
I'm interested in a pair of the 263mm forks.
Where you based?
Have pm'd you.
Matt.Happened on this thread trawling round the various lists, if anyone's still lookin I've at least two sets of brand new Moser sloping crown chrome 1" forks going, steerer 263mm overall from lower race to top, of which 65mm is threaded. Look and ride real sweet. Say £25 (each!)? Or if 222mm is enough, £20 with a mark on chrome on the left leg... err, now I have to admit I'm new round these parts, so dunno what happens now - wait for hail of ridicule? cheers anyway!

Following RPM's suggestion: here are my forks.
(excuse the link)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/27786153@N05/2903952171/They have a groove/ridge on the front that would make it difficult to fit a brake to.
Ignoring the issue of whether i SHOULD drill them - what I'd like to know is if it's possible to drill them adequately and fit a brake.
Thanks. -

Does anyone run two forks off the same headset?
I'd like to have one fork for road, one for track from the same old threaded campag headset.
(Don't want to drill the orig forks nor use a clamp on brake)
But I'm beginning to wonder if it's a good idea as I think finding a second correct crown race is going to be problematic.
Also I'm getting confused about which size crown race I'll need.
The Verniers seem to put it at 26.8mm but I read somewhere the Campy standard was 26.4mm.
Is removing the crown race from the fork the only accurate way of measuring?
Any help gratefully received. -

Best sushi i've had in London is from Atari-ya near Selfridges.
Normally has a pretty good range of fish.
The ikura is amazing. Uni is good quality too if you can handle it.
Even though it's more of a takeaway than a restaurant that's always our first choice.
The old Japanese guy is the best chef - my missus claims she can taste the difference when he's there.
Yoshino sushi from J-Centre is ok but nothing compared to Atari-ya.We always make okonomiyaki from packet mixes from Japan. Can't abide paying the money Abeno charge.

spotted - pale blue freddie grubb conversion - brooks saddle, gold goldfinger- locked to the stairs up to my storeroom - (itll make sense if its yours!).....on here??
That'll be me.
Evicted from the bike cage 'cos they are painting it in exactly the same colour it was before.
The same bike cage that thieves broke into and nicked all the bikes - by snipping through the chicken-wire that was the roof!
Luckily the Grubb was elsewhere.
I'm Matt - work on the ground floor. -
Northerndave, thanks for posting your story - although I suspect you may regret it now.
I don't agree with what you did but can understand your desperation and frustration after the police refused to get involved.
So now you've paid off the thief, what next?
Let him do the same again, maybe to someone else on this forum?
You have his description, presumably his phone number, maybe a name and rough idea of his address.
We already know the rough area where this cnut operates.
So why don't you share with us what you know about him so he doesn't do the same to us?
And while you're about it, please also tell us how your bike was locked up so we know how sophisticated this turd is.
