Ok so I am heading to Brighton on Sunday and my tyres (Bontrager race light hard case) got slated in a previous thread. My question is, what tyres would you fit to an 18 speed Ribble tri bike with campagnolo khamsin wheels and why?
I'd like to go for a 23 over a 25 this time and they are a 700c diameter. They're clicnchers and the budget is about £100.

Ok got the measurements:
The steerer is a total of 140mm long, with threads over the last 25mm.
The distance from the centre of the brake hole to the centre of the dropout is 370mm. The centre of the brake hole is 10mm from the edge of the metal (if that makes sense).
The steerer is indeed 1" outer diameter.

vertical dropouts :(
Yep - this one is for the geared bike.
I saw one of those £199 Lidl SS (that other thread) on Gumtree yesterday and was due to go pick it up tonight. But, having read that other thread, I decided against it. It's got me a bit hooked on this whole fixie thing though. So, now that it looks like I'm gonna have my commuting weapon back again pretty soon, I think I'm gonna embark on another little project. ;-)

Looks pretty nice and at a pretty good price too. Thought you were going to get a steel frame though?
;)Chris
My max bid was more than double that! Steel wasn't really a requirement I don't think. It doesn't have brazed on slidey gear lever things, but I've been down Evans and reckon a set of Deore MTB shifters will go onto the Profile Airwings. I hope the indexing is right, even though they will be on a racer instead of an MTB! Anyone know?

I want a new one I reckon - the last one was from Gumtree and only lasted 6 months.
It probably went through fatigue more than anything else - I ride to work and back every day over North London's buggered up roads. It's an 84 Raleigh frame which developed a creaking noise this morning when pedalling hard. When I looked closer at lunch, there is a little crack running horizontally across the front of the head tube and pushing the frame makes the creaking happen. I'll get a piccy sorted later, so you can all have a butchers.
The budget is in the hundreds - maybe £300 - £400 or something like that? I might get all carried away and spend more though.
The other components (which are being kept) are Campag Khamsin gold wheels and Profile Airwing handlebars, along with Suntour drivetrain (square BB axle - BB could do with replacing) and brakes. These are being kept because the gold matches the wheels and I dont fancy paying for new ones right now!
What do you reckon? I need to get it sorted quick, so would prefer a shop I can just pitch up at and hand of the spondoolies.

Morning you lot,
I got meself a shiny new pair of Campagnolo Khamsins in gold yesterday and can't get my old Bontys to centre on the rim. It's almost as if the tyres are too small for the rims, leaving a flat spot on both tyres as I travel.
I've tried getting washing up liquid in there and wiggling them, but nothing is working. Anyone got any magic tips?
Ta,
Ben

A few things have worked for me in similar scenarios in the past:
- Google ads
- Product sales (maybe a fg or ss kit for traditional racers / velocity deep v sets would sell pretty well) - should be ecomm
- Featured banner ads from bike shops / events
- Cheaper hosting - I dont know your requirements obviously, but I know some cheap and decent hosts.
- Donations could be promoted more - works much better if people get a link under their username saying they've paid
- Google ads
I read a whole marketing spiel about them earlier but wasn't convinced. Why do they top the list?
