Hi all, I'm thinking of covering my bike in stickers instead of a new paint job. Could look funky. If you've got any you don't want, I'll send you a stamped envelope, even if its only one or two I'd really appreciate it. Preferably the waterproof type btw. Oh, I'm in the process of getting some from big daddy wayne(for arrospok) and 1lesscar, in case you were going to suggest that. Whisper me your details if you have any.

Yeah, it might seem a bit agricultural to the weenies, and it doesn't have that crazy track geometry everyone seems to go nuts for, but it's just plain nice to ride. Every time I have to move even my stripped down, aluminium, no-suspension mountain bike from one miserable, dank, lonely corner of the house to another, I remember how heavy bikes in the rest of the cycling world are.+2, its great as a first fixed. I kept on crashing when I kept on forgetting that I couldn't freewheel ;)

Couldn't figure out how to change title, so I'll just redo my earlier thread. Just wondering if anyone here rides fixed gear and lives in Birmingham and would like to start some sort of fixed scene here. If you're interested, just say so or give me a ring (07874 920 799). Maybe organise some bike polo etc.

Hi all, this is my first post, so I'll tell you a little about myself...
My name's Ben, 17, live in North Birmingham. Haven't been riding fixed for long but love it all the same. Anyway........................
Wondering if you Londoners might take pity on those of us who don't live in the capital who still ride fixed/if anyone on here lives in west Mids. Thought there could maybe be a sticky for people outside London because I know that I at least still visit this site for mechanics info etc. Would be good to see if anyone else near me rides fixed (tractor-style MTBs are popular round here), maybe even organise some bike polo or something. I know that this is LONDON fgss but couldn't find a 'restoftheuk fgss' on the net. Anyway just thought I'd suggest it, see what you think
Very first time I rode fixed, about ten seconds in I tried to skid stop. Straightened leg but didn't lean forwards, pedals kept going and just lifted me up, off and down ;(
