no expert meself but pedals sometimes have a little beak-like piece sticking out for you to swing the pedal up into the right position.if you put clips on wrong side of pedal you wont have the use of this little sticky outy bit.I'm probably talking sh*t like I usually do though....

I would'nt worry about it ,but everytime i rode ,I'd feel like i was riding something flawed.I'd imagine you or your mates must have plenty of spare ones .Fit another when your ready is what i'd suggest

if the door when shut is flat it will work and look ok.if the door when shut is two smaller leaves at 90degrees to each other as in a corner, it could look ugly with gaps showing, if it is a panelled door.

you might want to think it through a bit more.If you dont put two stiles at new meeting edge you will have an ugly gap where the top and bottom rails are touching and the panels will not.(sorry,impossible for me to explain more clearly)If door is a flush blank disregard this.(or disregard it anyway!)

thread nut onto threaded section of steerer before hacksawing.when you undo it,it will "clean off" the rough burrs.Better still file after cutting-problem solved

what I've noticed is that vehicle drivers cannot bear to slow down a shade and wait to overtake even if I'm in primary position.If I were a car driving at less than 30mph,they'd do so but it seems like it's illegal to do so when behind a bicycle.I desperately wish I could shoot paint stripper 50 metres from a special gland in my forehead half a dozen times a day...

had to put the brake there because it is the fattest part of the bar and that 31.8 is barely holding on. Besides, with that narrow bar i can easily reach the lever while still holding to the upper part of the riser. Long fingers.

Don't agree, it is possible that you could only have damage to the cups.

So that would be the cups and the axle and the balls.
if you've got worn cups and balls,surely the cones are f*cked as well;I've suffered loads of knackered cones.
If you want "sustainable", the TA Axix is the way to go, since it uses disposable standcartridges for all the wearing parts, and you can keep re-using the cups and axle with new cartridges time after time.

the clamp around the bar will look neater when they are on the right way and you may find you want to angle the levers down a bit or risk a bit of tendonitis

I 'spose it's down to not living/riding in a city but I can't imagine ever setting out without pump/innertube/patches etc etc
