2 I know of- one on Mortlake High Street- the Brewery end, next to the 'post office'. The other is on Lower Mortlake Road (on the right hand side) as you go toward the centre of Richmond ( approx 500m from the round about before Richmond Train station). I don't think they are Brick Lane Market dodgy but it's worth a look.
I'll have a gander round those tomorrow morning on the off chance. Unlikely I know, but ...
Thanks again.

Shit really sorry -I should have called the cops, wasn't sure if they respond to suss looking teenagers. If it's any help they were cycling down Sheen Lane towards Lower Richmond Rd or Mortlake High st. One white kid (who clocked me lookign at the bike) and two black kids. The one on the black Condor was pretty chubby. Not seen them round before (but I'm normally at work). If you wan to PM contact details for the officer dealing I'll keep them with me in case I see them around again.
No idea how they'll dispose of them but there are a few 2nd hand dealers locally - I'll wander round and keep an eye out.
Thanks again for the info. I'll get those details to you by PM (once I go find them!). Whereabouts are the local second hand dealers? I may nip down for a look ...

Has anyone has a Specialized road bike (grey) as well as two condor single speed bikes (black and grey) nicked near Mortlake? I only ask as i saw three lads riding these bikes just before. The bikes didn't fit them and it looked like the two Condor ones had spds or similar for pedals and all the lads were wearing trainers.
To be honest it's probably useless me mentioning this as I have no idea where they are or where they went. Sorry
The Specialized sounds like my wife's Dolce and the black Condor will be my fixed. Discovered about lunch time that three bikes had been lifted from the shed in our back garden. The third bike from our shed wasn't grey or single speed, it was a white geared Condor, so sounds like they've been nicking from elsewhere too.
I'll pass on the info to the officer who came round earlier to have a look. He did mention there had been other similar incidents in the area lately, so if you have a bike in the shed it may be a good idea to get it inside for now.
Thanks for posting.
Little. Fuckers.

Contemplating this, but it is sold out. Anyone got a spare entry?
May have to do 70k, due to home commitments.
Happy to pay for entry, even if I end up not riding.
Yup, I have an entry going spare (have to give the ride a miss due to unexpected family stuff going on at the same time) ... what info do you need to take my space?

As a longer term strategy you could sign up to email alerts from Howies on their website - they seem to have a merino sale every six months or so (you've just missed the last one unfortunately) and if you're on the email you can get in early before the stock runs out ... As an example of the discount on offer, I picked up a £55 l/s zip top for £25. They're great tops, really comfortable.

The scheme's a bugger when it comes to being applied - some companies let you top up over the £1,000; others won't. One suggested way to deal with the "can't top up" doctrine is to get the voucher from Halfords, take it direct to Condor and see what they can do for you - because they'll take the Halford's voucher direct, whereas most other companies will only build to your spec and then deliver to a Halfords store, you may be able to circumvent the £1,000 limit ... worth a try?

Feck me, would the file studios please leave Neuromancer alone and stop buggering about with a bloody good book that's already been Matrix'd? A Hayden Christensen effort has Johnny Mnemonic written all over it.
If you're planning a dissertation on Gibson, might be worth going for something on his cyberpunk trilogy - a mate of mine did that at Uni and got a first for it, so the material's good enough.

Just finished (for the umpteenth time) The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler, and about to start William Gibson's Pattern Recognition, as I seem to be on a bit of a pulp theme right now.
Just to add a couple of bits to some comments above, The Kafka novel with K was The Trial and if you like Roger Deakin you could try Robert Macfarlane who dedicated his last book The Wild Places to him. He also wrote Mountains of the Mind which was bloody good from memory.

I've a mate who got a Ribble road bike made up this way last year - he specced up the bike direct with Ribble and then had it delivered to a Halfords for pick up. Another way is to find a bike shop which will take the Halfords voucher direct - Condor will, and also I hear that Pearsons might - so if you took the full £1,000 voucher you could buy a Pista or Touche for £700 or so (bit less for the Touche) and get the rest back in credit notes which you'd then be free to spend in the shop on other bits of (ahem) safety equipment.

Newsnight ran a bit on this in January - you can still watch it through the bbc website:

Sounds the way forward to me.
I would say so as it looks like the one I had stolen a few weeks ago. The front calipers (from the rather blurry photo admittedly) look as though they've had the Veloce brake blocks replaced with Chorus brake shoes, something I did a few months back. If anyone on here bought it, or knows who did, I'd be delighted if they could PM me - I have the frame number and proof of purchase from Condor to prove it's mine.
I realise this is extremely unlikely to happen, but hey. There'll be a reward in it if we sort it this way.
Have also emailed the police who say they should be able to find out from eBay who bought it.
