Beautiful Graflex. I have the perfect tripod for that, but I don't know if I can part with it. Gitzo Studex 5 Geant with geared center column. I always wanted to try a Graflex Speedgraphic or a MPP Technical Mk V/VI/VII.

Nope, I wouldn't recommend that one at all. The base is too small. It would succumb to prise/lever or hammer attacks.

@AeroDynamik, the old style OnGuard Brute Mini is/was very good. I recommend it very highly. The new one is also as good (Brute), because the u-bar is 16.8mm on both locks. I prefer the old old because of the shape, and looks.

And both essentially match the Fagh Mini.

I like the idea of camera and systems reviews, and I think there probably one for film cameras and one for digital.

You're very welcome. For portaiture, its as good as any lens you'll ever find. The bokeh is beautifully smooth, and the macro is just a bonus (even thoughy thats its main design feature). Enjoy.

You are going to love that Elicar.

I used to use an OM-1n, and loved it. I'd recommend aftermarket lenses for extra wides (eg. Tamron); the standard lenses are very good; for short telephoto or for portraiture I recommend the Elicar 90mm (if you can find one, you'll never be sorry). Zooms can be had from Vivitar or Tamron.

The Elicar came (tied for) first in a 1984 test by Amateur Photographer magazine, and its competitors in the group test were the best from Olympus, Nikon, Canon , Pentax, Tamron and Vivitar.
