I'm trying to install a new headset, using a 1inch ultera threaded headset. It fits but then when i screw it on i get about 1/2 an inch onto the fork it seizes up and i cannot tighten anymore. i'm using a large park tool wrench so i'm getting more than enough torgue on it but it won't keep going. I've tired:

1. undoing it and cleaning the thread
   
2. putting it in the freezer (thought it might shrink metal)
   
3. force
   
   

should i invest in a real headset wrench or is there another solution / issues that i'm missing?

any help much appreciated.

I've got one of the 725x - i find it too complex, the memory always full and the altimeter ain't that good. I'd buy a small cyclo specific cheaper version that hasn't got altimeter / running functions if i was you.

If I've understood it "drafting" means that a group rides in formation; the leaders break wind gently while the others ride in the pocket created.

The group saves between 30% - 60% of their energy and progressively faster speeds can be maintained as larger groups mean more wind is dispersed.

If I've got my calculations right then the last 12 people tonight will be doing no pedalling at all and going at speeds of up to 105 mph.

i should point out that 105mph in skinny jeans is dangerous.

regarding conversations on security / police - i looked on the net for something on the legal right to congregate and i cannot see anything that prohibits us meeting so we are fine to meet and they shouldn't be able to do anything to stop us

apparently there is also a special exemptions for those from shoreditch on pink bikes, deep-v's aerospoke & skinny jeans - they are allowed to be as pissed as they want whereas everyone else has to be dead sober while riding.

we've got about 1.5hrs to get there - 25 miles....(?) not tour pace. therefore any ratio will get you there even if you have to walk up the hills. going to be a great sunny day!

i've got a pretty good view of london from my office - dirty black storm clouds all heading off east and sun coming out in the west.... looks good.

rain at 1600, then clouds at 1900....should be just about right for meeting at 1830...
