I've got a Condor Tempo f+f that I'm looking to shift. Can probably add in a few other bits apart from wheels too.
58cm frame, with a TT of 57cm (horizontal equivalent).
I'm 6'3" and it suits me very well. I had a Condor Pista before this in the same size, and was fitted for it in the shop.
I'll dig out a photo if you are interested?

Not the first to suggest this...
First Slough
Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!
Come, bombs and blow to smithereens
Those air -conditioned, bright canteens,
Tinned fruit, tinned meat, tinned milk, tinned beans,
Tinned minds, tinned breath.Mess up the mess they call a town-
A house for ninety-seven down
And once a week a half a crown
For twenty years. And get that man with double chin
Who'll always cheat and always win,
Who washes his repulsive skin
In women's tears:And smash his desk of polished oak
And smash his hands so used to stroke
And stop his boring dirty joke
And make him yell. But spare the bald young clerks who add
The profits of the stinking cad;
It's not their fault that they are mad,
They've tasted Hell. It's not their fault they do not know
The birdsong from the radio,
It's not their fault they often go
To MaidenheadAnd talk of sport and makes of cars
In various bogus-Tudor bars
And daren't look up and see the stars
But belch instead. In labour-saving homes, with care
Their wives frizz out peroxide hair
And dry it in synthetic air
And paint their nails.Come, friendly bombs and fall on Slough
To get it ready for the plough.
The cabbages are coming now;
The earth exhales.(John Betjeman)

I'd pop one of these on it and call it a day:
https://www.watchobsession.co.uk/collections/rios1931-watch-straps/products/rios1931-mittenwald-retro-organic-leather-watch-strap-in-blackThanks for posting this. I've been looking for something similar for a while. I bought it shortly after, then got a call from WO saying they noticed my delivery address is in the same town as them (Aberystwyth), and offering to drop it round directly. From reading your post to the hand-delivered parcel arriving was about 3 hours!

Any recommendations for getting a dial change? I love my Hamilton Field Mechanical in every way apart from the dial (not least the comic-sans-alike typeface). Seeing all the Seiko mods got me thinking that switching out a dial can't be that difficult to arrange. Absolutely no intention of doing it myself, but I assume there must be some people out there that offer this service?

I loved the NATO that came with my Hamilton FM so much that I've since bought two more from them for other watches. Obscenely priced at £45 each but I've never found a NATO elsewhere that is as comfortable or well made (or looks as good). The black / Orange is perfect for my Squale.
I'm sure the ones you get with a new Omega / whatever are good but a bit above my pay grade... -

Their planning application will reflect their design, which appears to assume a Party Wall Notice will be issued to you, and that you will not dispute it.
If they don't issue you with a PW Notice you can either apply for an injunction to stop them working (spendy and boring) or knock down any part of their wall that sits on your land (quite cheap and a lot more fun). -

Are you in Wales btw? We are, and found Wales & West Utilities very quick to respond when we asked them to remove a gas supply. Unfortunately they can't do it until Scottish Power have removed the meter, and they are (so far) very fucking slow. Probably about 6 hours spent on the phone to them in total, and at least the same still to go I reckon..
-
Pretty sure you can't just get any gas engineer to fuck about with the supply pipes. If its between the gas main and your meter it would need to be done by the gas network people. Then only the utility supplier can move the actual meter. For anything after the meter, you can get any (qualified) gas engineer to do it.
Find out who they are from here https://www.energynetworks.org/operating-the-networks/whos-my-network-operator. They will probably have a link on their website to generate a quote request, as you would if you want a new supply / remove a redundant one etc. -

Read up on what is included here:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/buildings-and-construction-vat-notice-708#section8
Also in my experience it helps if your wife went to school with someone in the council that decides to help you out with documentation!
But then if you are in Wales like us, you’ll also get stung with the need to get fucking sprinklers installed if you want to get your building control certificate at the end of it all...

This should fall under permitted development. I'm currently doing this the other way around - turning two flats back in to one house. When I checked, both directions fall under permitted development - assuming your not doing any other significant works that would require planning permission.
The 5% VAT thing is real (and a lifesaver), but you'll need to get something in writing to show your builder because ultimately it's them that has to bill you at 5% and then prove why if HMRC come calling. -
