Lucky for you the Nuun boys turned up with discs, 5 spokes and rollers (in the car park) so they received most of my ire.

What tubs are you using? I don't use anything too light at Herne Hill and so don't have a problem riding a couple of miles to the station on road race tubs.

Great Special Events night yesterday. I really enjoyed the madison racing and the "crowd" was definitely bigger than usual.

Where were all the sprinters though? Scared of their flying 200 times being less than the madison flying laps? ;-)

I drilled my aluminium rims out slightly so that the valve seated properly with my CS tubs.

As anyone who has raced against Ethan and Freddie this year will know, being on 88" doesn't hide talent...
He was on a standard Canyon V-Drome with clinchers and while his absolute top end might have been capped, it wasstill damn hard!

I raced and really enjoyed it. The racing was good and hard but the (A) riders seemed to have the right attitude for a track league with no silly risk taking and plenty of banter between races. Not too many disc wheels either and good tunes too. Bring on next week!

Yeah, can the title be changed? There's quite a bit of hysteria here IMHO. There are plenty of crashes in RR's too and there is no such thing as accreditation, pathway etc etc.The fact that HH has these even if they aren't always enforced means that rider safety is being directly considered.

I do think that no all-in races is a good idea and also that people should expect to be boll*cked by other riders if they do something wrong. I prefer to be known as that shouty bloke rather than that bloke with no teeth.

Yup, Muddy Hell is definitely a volunteer run not for profit event. F-off bridges, lights and the days of digger hire etc that make this night great don't come cheap!

Put your names down please people, expenses should cover beer and the T shirts are always cool. The more the merrier!

The go-race really should be for proper newbies and singlespeed/fixed bikes for people without a licence. There are no strict rules though, but ringers may be heckled/abused/soaked!
