Yeah, this could work. You'd have to double check but i think it's an EIAJ-02 plug type. If you're handy with a soldering iron you could make a two female > one male splitter and use that?

I have, I did it by using an exposure head light as it supplies the rear light in DC, using a buck converter to step up the voltage to 12v.

Dynamos generate AC, so you'd have to use a bridge rectifier to convert to DC otherwise. I bought a couple from ali express to give it a go but never got round to it.. I'm not 100% or will work because of the low output of the dynamo and the losses in converting to DC

Not that scary, just make sure you're careful when you do it. Dont short between the positive and negative of any cell, becareful with any screwdriver etc.

I tie wrapped a little sea to summit dry bag on mine the other day. Also the carabiner on the back board is extremely useful for holding up bags of shopping.

The one my pal bought is in good nick and is in perfect working order..
